- Akra slip on
- Nothing

What is my why? I don't really know.........

I personally voted for the Slip on.
Why?
Wheels/tires are #1 in tracking. 2nd is brakes.
Slip on makes no real power, just for sound/looks
Slip on will yield me more $ than the xpipe
Sell all but keep the wheels and buy a Miata. Keep the m3 as a dd...

Sell the Akra and buy a cheaper exhaust like the Megan so that you at least have some sound other than stock

If you're looking to buy a track car, sell the BBK, tires, and wheels. If you want free up more cash, sell the exhaust and do the $100 mod for the stock exhaust. I wouldn't get miata as a track car though. Power is not everything, but you need at least some. Get an s2k at least.

Yeah S2ks are a BLAST to drive.
If I sell all the mods, I'll have enough to get a S2k no problem lol
But I personally haven't found any in good/reasonable condition to match the price some people are asking for them!
They want like $10k+ for a near 10 year old car with 120K+ miles!! that's crazy! You can get an e46 M3 for just a tad bit more if you're going to get a car with that many miles.

I personally got the Akra evo for the power and weight savings, as I was contempt with an AA xpipe and a rear stock exhaust.

As a former s2000 owner, parts are not as cheap as you would think. Even though it is a honda, exhaust can run 1300-2500. And again, volks and bbk cost about the same, regardless of car.

And......you need to really upgrade the power on the s2000, similiar to the M3, breather modifications are not enough to make an impact on performance. Not to mention the hardtop/roll cage expense that you'll need to make.

And....if you get a hardtop, you need to get the spoon mooncraft style roof. (another 2k-3k)

Regardless of what car I get, I plan on finding something that's already pre-built, or built a bit

As we all know, you make more $ by parting out, but there are people who: A) don't want to B) dont have time to C) etc
So it's possible to find a track ready (or close to ready car), but have to lol

But damn I didn't know 2-3k for a roof?!?!

I borrowed a S2k for a week, and it's a horrible DD lol, but fun on the track.
I'm a big guy, so none of these cars are good for a DD (cayman Z s2k miata).
about 250lbs, close to 6 ft. My back doesn't clear most racing seats (only certain XL ones), it's annoying... even if my waist got smaller I wouldn't be comfortable in them

Keep looking, there are some really nice s2k race cars out there as well. I think low hp cars are better for tracking, but you need some to keep up with others on the straights. Turbocharged Miata might be another option.

Weight savings in an E93 M3? Please...

Yeah gotta keep looking and looking

If anyone finds anything, please send em my way :P

I tend to track at least once a month, but tend to do it 2-3, sometimes as much as 4-5 times in a given month. I know, I should give more attention to the other girl in my life

Gotta do what I can

This really is the only car out there that I can track and then go cruising with (well other than a Ferrari California). I'm not a fan of DDing soft top verts... been there done that, never again...

Also, you might consider MINI Cooper S. Very cheap to track.

Some Miatas (first one is a V6):

I'd sell the te37sl if I were you and then buy APEX Arc 8.

Te37sl are nice and the arc8 makes a great compromise.
