Wow... How... Derivative.

Not surprising I suppose and at least it has a little Skyline left in it but, not that inspiring. Looks like another cobbled together amalgamation of just about every Japanese Sporty car made in the last 10 years.

Sorta Bleh...

But if it gets a Bunch of the Import Tuner and NOPI worshipers outta their BMWs? I'm a Happy Guy.

Such is an example of a rarity, not the norm.

The car looks significantly more aggressive than any stock BMW and will be able to out run any model on the line up right now. I think I need to reconsider my m3 purchase. Luxury and status aren't my thing.

What's my point? there is no point.
Yeah, one prob: it costs twice as much as any of those.

i do think the R8 looks good from some angles, but some things like the LED headlights are awful imho. I, too, would take the GT-R over nearly every other car out there because of the sheer fun it'll bring! and think of the modding market after it's been out for 1-2 years. I'm willing to bet that i won't regret buying a GT-R if i had the money unless i had a baby boom or something
It's not the worst car out of the bunch by any means. Well, if performance was the only basis for my opinion, then yes, it would be the worst. However, as a whole, I find the R8 to be the best deal as a daily driver supercar under the $150k segment. Okay, it's a few tenths to sixty slower than the others, but at least the ride will be livable and comfortable. The styling is also a plus in my eyes, but that's a subjective matter so I'll leave that out.

I just don't see a point in owning a GT-R if there just aren't places to use all of that power. I don't have any nearby tracks, so I can't justify the ownership of a car that goes 3.5 seconds to sixty. I'd kill myself with that kind of power. You know what I mean? I can sacrifice that trivial performance for real world drivability. That's why I'd take the R8.

So what's the point of buying a 500HP M6 or M5 since there just aren't places to use all that power?

Would that mean the M6/M5 has a more real world drivability than the GT-R?

Best deal under $150k? There's a lot of deals under $150k.

Okay, you're putting words in my mouth that I never said. I never once stated that it's the best deal under $150k, it's just the one that I would personally go with, if given the option. Actually, the M5/M6 aren't really that usable either. I mean, they are, but they're getting to the point where it's borderline overkill. It would be smarter to own a daily driver that costs around 50k or whatever, and then spend the rest on a track car, like a lotus. There's no point in having 500+ hp in a car, unless said car would be tracked. But would you rather track an M6 or an Elise?

For me, the base price for the car is fine. The price after options is fine. Whats scaring me right now are the service prices. Are they out of their mind?!

So, what is it gonna take to get you out of your BMW? Then i'll be a happy guy.

J/K... but why can't we all just be car enthusiasts? So much hate on this forum. I happen to still enjoy reading Modified mag or Import Tuner just as much as Bimmer mag or European Car. I like other cars aside from the one that I drive.

I know right. If its not a BMW or something over $100k, it'll rarely get any positive feedback here.
