Honestly, I don't know of any - sorry :|

You are correct, $140 a wheel is a total rip.. I was expecting $40 per.

I sold some OEM wheels to these guys last year. I noticed their warehouse was full of oem refinished wheels (some chrome and some pc'd). IIRC: they said they outsource their pc work, but you could check with them:

http://lawheel.com/

also, a patient of mine just mentioned these guys: http://www.powdercoater.com/home.html (<===never heard or used them tho)

You should ask distinctive automotive...they do powdercoating. They are the same guys that just did my tint...they are a pretty great shop at a great price.

Edit: Nvm...lol I guess they are only a good value if you are tinting your car...lol I just called them and they told me $150 per wheel.

didn't know they PC wheels..wow that place does everything...lol

haven't seen their PC work, but almost everything they do is good from what I've heard and seen first hand, so sometimes paying a higher price is worth it...

I wonder if the price is so high because they outsource it as well, their facility doesn't looks like they have the equipment to PC in house....

Yea their work is definitely top quality from everything I have seen too. My tint is literally perfect...I have still yet to find a imperfection. Not to mention they had a Alpine White X6M when I was there that they had done perfect tint on all the windows, the rear tail lights, side markers...just about everything...plus the rims where powder coated perfectly. Thing looked pretty amazing.

Are you guys planning to go to the coffee meet thing they have tommorrow...figured since you guys live like right next to me we could all meet up and roll over there together.

what time and what meet?

also... how come you guys keep praising a tint shop for perfect tint?

My understanding that a tint shop should always have perfect tint as standard... you should expect it to be perfect, not be surprised...

dot matrix, bubbling, tint protector to prevent scratching...not all tint places know enough to deal with this....

we usually hear and read about horror stories rather than positive experiences...

but hey, if every place you go to is perfect, more power to you..share the knowledge...

Well, I've always taken my cars to Solar Eclipse off of Victory and De Soto

However, the owner isn't there right now so I wouldn't really know what type of deals there are

Whenever the owner is there, he always gives me a great deal; most likely cause I've taken a lot of cars to him :P

I guess if I got my car tinted and it looked crappy... I would raise hell lol

I got my M3 tinted the first week I got it; i tinted the Z4 the day after I got it

I've had my tints done by sunshield, they do most of the dealerships off of van nuys....

my wife had her tints done by distinctive..and a friend of mine gets all his cars done by distinctive..

both with great work...pricing is a bit better at sunshield tho...

Yea I was contemplating, but I keep forgetting that it is 40min away from me...we should get a 818 wed coffee meet going...should just all meet up like every 2 weeks or something.

Oh and I am so bitter I have to skip bimmerfest due to work. I just found out that we have a convention for our lawyers going on that Saturday that I have to attend so that I can sell them more advertisement.

However on the bright side of things I just sold 10k worth of advertisement today so next month is car modding month for sure.

Well here is my thinking...as far as the engine goes I will probably just do Procede and a DP...possibly not a DP because then I have 2 things I have to uninstall every single time I want to take the car into the dealer.

Those two things are more than enough power for me. So besides that here was what I was thinking.

Rims and Tires (I am thinking about doing the Forgestar F14s in Gunmetal)
ICarbon Hood
ICarbon Diffuser
ICarbon trunk
Hamann Competition Front Spoiler
P3 Vent Gauge

All the body parts will be painted except for the vents in the hood. I am somewhat worried about the fitament issues I have heard with ICarbon. I am currently looking for possibly another hood. The Vorsteiner was discontinued.

Other than that I dont think there is anything else that I want to get.

I personally prefer the Jb4 over the PROcede.. but to each his own

Lmk if you want one, I can help you out; it'll be much cheaper than a Procede that's for sure

If you want the stuff painted, I can refer you to my family's shop.

They painted my AW hood on my 335 (pics in my sig link) and the front bumper of my M3

They also did paint work on McMuffin's widebody 335i.

They're legit and very fair

And regarding downpipes.. it depends who you know.

I can ask my SA if he's cool with it.
I know he's cool with my mods and won't care...

My tech is suppose to get better in a month or so. I know for a fact he won't care

If he's better and you're with my SA, you'll be golden.
But you'll have to rate them 10 on the survey... otherwise no dice for next time

We can talk when we meet up

I would have gone with JB3, but here are my thoughts on that. I think terry is great, and does good work. However he always seems to be consistantly one step behind Shiv. On top of that Procede has more control over the engine than JB3 does due to the fuel sensor. If I had a N54 though I would probably go with JB4.

With regards to the paint that sounds great actually...I am glad that you know of a quality paint shop. That was something I was a bit worried about.

As for the SA definitely keep me updated. I would love to find a SA that does not kill my warrenty. I would be the first person to rate them 10 on the survey if they were helping me out like that.
