Dealer overfilled oil... again

So I followed the recommendation provided by some here on M3Post: be patient...

After 100 or so miles of driving the oil level indicator is now back to normal and shows OK .

God, do I wish for a real dipstick

I got my oil changed at 13,000kms and the oil reading indicated 1 line under half. Today I went back (4800kms later) for another change and the oil reads 1 line over half.
The tech gave me half a liter of oil and told me it was extra? After looking at my invoice I see they charged me for 9 liters of oil. My question is should I add oil in .25L increments or leave it be?

The s65/s85 require a very specific fill procedure due to the "quasi dry sump" lubrication system. You don't just pour the full capacity in at once like you do on other engines. Most line techs hardly ever work on ///M cars and are simply unaware of this. It takes about 20-30 minutes to properly fill the oil, so some techs are just too lazy to take the time to do it. Unfortunately most Advisors, Managers, or entire dealerships don't recognize that either and therefore the flat rate techs get paid the same half hour of flat rate pay even though the ///M cars take two to three times as long to change the oil as non ///M cars. It's the sad reality of today's automotive world. Everything is quantity, not quality. Manufacturers constantly cut warranty labor times forcing techs to work faster while they build more and more complex machines, while dealers constantly push techs to go faster to improve their stats and increase profits. Don't blame the tech, he's just as much of a victim in all this. The corporate automotive climate is moving in a scary direction.
