what part 4 and 5 ? a tray to replace ashtray? would also like to replace front ashtray with a more usable space.

4 looks like the surround for the vents. 5 is the ashtray replacement for non-smoker package. Check here for the non-smoker conversion.

Rear cupholders alone will not do it. You also need the euro rear console

I made the conversion on my E92 M3, and everything fit together fine.

BUT on the euro rear console I bought there are no cutouts for the lights, so I had to dremel holes into it so I could put in the lights

too much work for me when nobody will be in the back.

I just wonder why all the other people had to get the Euro rear panel?
I wonder if BMW used the Euro panel in all cars later on. They've been known to do that.

Ive already got the rear cup holders but the cover is a bit scratched so I was thinking of replacing them. Can anybody help me with some basic instructions uninstall/install?
