Question Advanced M School at VIR - Weather Question

I am going to sign up for the Advanced M School at VIR. I want to pound on some M5 / M6 and the new M3 with MDCT (I will be able to truly give an opinion for DCT vs. SMG after this event)

My big concern is weather. While nothing is perfectly predictable, and I have narrowed it down to late August or mid September. Any concerns with either?

I would like September since the cooler air will give a bit more power.

Any place that I can look at some statistics?

Thanks.

Is this a monthly event? The only thing you would have to worry about is rain, and even then it would just slow you down. I was up there two weeks before Christmas. They'll run in just about any weather.

A rainy morning or afternoon would be great, you could get the car to rotate a little more with less speed. Tarheel chapter runs up there in March, July, and September, normally no big deal on heat, cold, or rain. But I think we got snowed out one year, freak storm.

Thanks.... Looks like August would be slightly better for precip but slightly worst for temps....

I run a bunch of rain days in my previous cars....I don't mind it but I want to play with the dry limits of these cars.

Join tarheel, and register on http://www.motorsportreg.com/
HPDE fills up in the first few hours. The March school sign-up was the end of January.

I did the 2 day Advanced M-School at VIR in September 2005. That was during some rains left over from a hurricane, but it didn't stop us at all. I was surprised that we didn't miss any time at all and just adapted to the rain. You just learn to drive fast in the rain. We did have some dry weather, but not much sun. It was great, I learned a lot and got plenty of track time in the end. You'll have a great time!
