Fun stuff man, but stay away from the Nt05's. I have em in 295/35/18 and they still unless you get them real hot and if you do that, you need to hop on the express way ASAP otherwise they cool down pretty quick. They look awesome but didn't quite perform like I hoped. I think pretty soon ill be grabbing a set of the RS-3's because the seem to be the best bang for your buck. Part of me wants to say screw it and go NT01's lol but I think they are in 305 and I don't want to rub

Interesting. Ive had RS-3s on other cars and loved them. These INVOs arent bad. Never driven the car in the rain, so dont know about wet grip. Im sure they will wear soon and I will NOT buy them again. Hmmmm 305/30s would be sweet....

You will not be buying the invos again? Is that just because they can't handle the power or other reasons? I've been told that the RS-3's grip a hell if a lot better than the NT05's, I'd be I interested if you did get em to get your thoughts but like I said, I'll be going another route next time

Well, they aren't what I wanted in the first place. They are a quiet tire, but I don't view them as an all out performance tire. If the RS-3s come out in a 295 or 305 18, Im there.

Pulling from 70mph in 3rd Gear looks to be right at the sweet spot of ESS kits! That thing must have pulled like a ROCKET through the rest of 3rd and all of 4th.

It did and Ive had some fast cars in the past. This is far more controllable, LOL. Its scary to get up to 140 ish in 4th and still have 5th and 6th to go....
Most of the time I just baby the car, though...granny shifting...not double clutching like I should...(see who catches that one) |

When you get to 625-700 crank you need r compound tires to safely and efficiently use the power. I love my toyo r888's although they are noisy it's not my DD and with catless exhaust you can't hear they road noise anyway

I live my life a quarter mile at a time and for those 10 seconds, I'm free.
Anyway, back on topic. Not sure why I stated that the tires were nice and quiet. I'm AA catless and Meister'd so not like I could hear them anyway. Soooo...rented some private highway and did the 3-4 pull from 70. I apologize in advance for not turning off the radio. Enjoy the Jason Aldean and Colt Ford naration. |
