BMW Performance Steering Wheel...

Hey folks, just wanted to know what you guys think of the BMW Performance Steering Wheel.

I have a DCT so the performance steering wheel really isn't very useful haha. But I do love how it looks and how it can probably impress chicks! (kidding) I can see how some of the functions could be of some use, like the stopwatch or the 1/4 timer.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Anyone know how much it costs? Do you think it's worth getting?

I would wait for the new performance steering wheel, I think it looks better than the current one.

buying it and installing it at the dealership cost around 1.8g.
people have different view about them.
your car already notifies you when its near red rpm.
and... since DCT has those paddles behind the steering wheel, it's harder to install it.
if you have the money, BUY IT. if not, don't buy it.

for me, i use the steering wheel cover so sun and dead skin don't damage it.

Personally, it looks very gimmicky to me. I'd rather spend the money on something else because the stock M3 steering wheel feels great as it is.

Totally unnecessary mod - the shift lights above your TACH are plenty sufficient. Spend that $2k elsewhere. To each his own.

Rumor has that BMW ran into some R&D difficulties with the new Performance wheel so it has been postponed to Dec release.
