OEM Mod exhaust - 4 pipe

I've been researching this mod for months. I contemplated getting the Megan Exhaust, test pipes, or both ... etc. I thought about doing only the 2 large perforated, or 2 1/2 pipes-- I ultimately went with doing all 4 pipes. I actually went to a local Meinekie and spoke with the owner who actually performed the mod step by step for me. I showed him pics and videos and he was great to work with. All in, it took 2.5 hours from getting the car on the lift to completion.

He went through many blades on his sawzsall and angle grinder, which he wasn't expecting. He used stainless steel pipe as well. I opted to cover the perforated pipes rather than cutting them off and welding on new ones. It was a much easier and faster way to do it.

The sound is beautiful! Like most say, it's about 50% louder than stock. Cruising, there isn't much of a difference- zero drone!

I paid substantially less than $400.. PM me if you want the price.

For anyone in North NJ, I'll hook you up with the place I went to if you're looking to get this done.

Next? Maybe resonated test pipes !

Why don't you just post the price? Looks like some ugly welding.

Welds on the inside weren't pretty at all, but who cares? The outside welds sealing the muffler back up are great.

No , there are 2 big and 2 smaller perforated areas .
The 2 perforated method are the 2 bigger pipe replacement .

Gotcha, thanks! I didn't realize from other pictures, that the pipes that look to have wool wrapped around them are actually perforated. Is that correct?

OP, sorry to whore your thread up with questions!

Yes the wrapped areas with metal wire around are covering the perforated areas .
So yes you are correct .
I've done this by myself but it took the whole day .
Sounds really amazing and you should really go for it .
The DIY video in my link above shows the whole thing...
