^^^ LOL, "non biased" review. At least you admitted that the F80 is just a beefed up 335i.

So with this single last sentence you've just demonstrated you're just as biased as he is.

Lighten up folks. After 6 glorious years with my E90, I am now ready to move on. So will a lot of you, sooner or later. Bitching and moaning about differences is completely missing the point. The F80 has its owns character, to be savoured and enjoyed for what it is, not for what it isn't.

Agree 100%!
Most of us that brag and bitch( incl. me ) do that only because our time for moving on hasn't come. I bet everyone that get's the chance to move on will do so.
I'd say let's try first to manage to have and drive a car for such a long period of time as some members on here, BEFORE we actually start raising our old car's high above the sky and throw out anykind of suggestion's.
At the end people can and people can't. Why shouldn't we just applaud to them that are able to step up to another M-gen!
That's the coolest anyway's to hear honest review's from our car-enthusiastic brother's and sister's that actually flatten for us upfront the rough surface before our time come's to sell/ trade or add.

I would totally rock an F8x M, just not for $80K OTD new. I'll happily wait a few years when they're 60% off the original MSRP.

Unfortunately, you can only drive one of them at a time, so what is the point.

It's supposed to be funny, but since that was lost on you - the 991 power plant better be superior considering the cost.

I didn't say it, he did. I didn't say I agreed with him, which I don't. Also, just because I don't want an F80 does not mean I am completely biased against it. Even cars I do not want, I can still appreciate and commend; and point out areas I do not like. Unlike him, where he came in here with his trolling agenda to stir up the crowd.

You see absolutely nothing, as you didn't check my posting history. You don't know me, and trying to be sarcastic with me has absolutely no effect on me. You tried to be funny, I get it. There is no need to become defensive about it and resort to personal attacks, even if this is the internet. You won't get anything out of this exercise, there is no satisfaction in it.

Now, can we continue having a conversation about the original topic, if any?

I think you missed my point. I stated that with your post, you proved to be just as biased as the other fellow, but in the opposite direction.

Meaning, no the F80 is not just a glorified or souped-up 335 at all. Just because he came across as totally biased in his lengthy boring post about the "soft-engined E90 M3", doesn't mean you must jump the horse in the opposite direction.

No, just that your point was not valid or true. Again, just because I don't want the F80, it doesn't mean I have a complete bias against it. I think it has many pros and some cons and that it's overall a great car. I just don't have an interest in getting one.

Great article, spot on IMHO and thanks OP for posting! FWIW test drove a new M4, purchased a Cayman S - it is all around a superior drivers car (again IMHO), which I find a bit sad.

You're very welcome - enjoy your new Cayman!

Why is that sad? I'm a big fan of the Cayman myself, but that the M4 are 2 pretty vastly different cars. In terms of driver's car, there's very few cars that can compete against the Cayman. New or old.

I tested drive the new M4 and I made a U-turn before I try the highway. The steering and engine sound and suspension kill the car. Bye M4, Hi 911.
