I wound if the retrofit split armrest for the 335 is the same as the one that comes in the M3

It's almost the same as the non-M3, the leather won't match, you need Novillo for the M3, while the regular E92 has Dakota standard, or Nappa (in Europe as higher price option).
Here it is. The last armrest, shows Novillo Black. You can try that part number with your dealer. However I suspect the price might not make it worthwhile. I have the split armrest and I don't pull it down. All the way down it gets in the e-brake's way.

I'm so glad my car has a split arm rest. I actually use the split all the time. It's very comfortable.

Yeah my car is a US car. When I bought my car I couldn't find what I wanted here (Space Grey/Sycamore/Moonroof) so I looked in the US and found one to my exact specs and it was fully loaded with 800 miles on it.
The guy who had it always owned Porsches and wanted to try the new M3 for a change. He bought the M3 and didn't like it so he traded it in on a new Porsche. He took the depreciation hit and I took advantage of it. Saved myself 10 grand.
