I just built one in the order system and the only option under the ZCP code is for EDC. The other items listed in the official release (359 wheel etc) will probably be added soon. Cheers

This Competition package is only $2500. Do you really think they will add anything else? Wheels are already around that much. If they add even a few parts from above, the price will be ~ M5 territory. |

Disappointing. But I guess they can't go above and beyond w the options bc then that will take away from the GTS. Id do it if I had the oppurtunity to order a car from th factory, but I wouldn't feel as though I'm missing out if I already had one.

Weak ZCP. Weak.
Will check in for how much those 10mm lower springs are. I feel my car could use some lowering, but I still need clearance for where I live. |

I found that on the BMW UK website - the competition package is 3,315 GBPounds!
That to go with the price of the standard M3 coupe at 50,050 GBPounds You guys in the US have got it lucky. |

But then, why isn't there any Alcantara polster? You can get this in an Audi A3 S-Line which is even not an S3. |

Well I have here the German pricelist from Bimmertoday.
http://www.bimmertoday.de/wp-content...nd_03_2010.pdf So for M3 no LED Headlights, no Alcantara polstery and no matt paint. I do not see the point of Competition package. How is the M3 more trackable? As for BMW Performance parts, there are only CF mirrors. |

Ok fair enough, Tech, it does sound that way from the way they worded it. But, unless the package somehow does not require ZTP (MDM) I don't understand how EDC is part of this package too. I suppose if the DSC is just remapped for the 359M's, then the package might not require ZTP. I remain skeptical about that though.

And according to the German pricelist there's no "modified" DSC, so much less MDM is required to implement this package. So this new EDC setting could be implemented in a new button without even changing the wiring if what we are talking about is a new fourth setting and not a firmer Normal and/or Sport current setting. |

There are a lot of changes coming from BMW starting this March...
Link to all these changes for the 2011 models (including the M3) in the "official" BMW press release: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/press...tem=node__2222 The 2011 M3 Competition Package is mentioned near the bottom of the page. Just to refresh your memory... Quote:

Hmm, I think I see where my words tripped you up. Let me try to rephrase the part of my post you bolded in your reply: If this ZCP package does not require ZTP, then I am a bit confused how the enhanced DSC will manifest itself. Without ZTP, you have DSC on and DSC off and that is all. Irrespective of wheels offset and track width etc, those two modes are pretty clear cut, IMHO. In other words how do you enhance "OFF" and "ON"? Therefore, I think this ZCP package must require ZTP, and the enhanced DSC mode will be in the form of a reprogrammed MDM. Thus, EDC will already be included and thus cannot be factored in as part of the ZCP price. Clearer now? Having said all that, one more intriguing possibility came to mind. What if the ZCP includes the non-MDrive-dependent MDM mode that the M3 GTS supposedly has? If that is the case then everything would make sense. And, that would also make this package a lot more attractive since it would give you MDM without the need to order ZTP. I am pretty skeptical of this possibility, but it would be great if true.
