The guys at APR tuning stripped an S4 down to just under 3000 pounds and it originally weighs in at a hefty 3925!
When we had the interior stripped out and taken a few other bits off it was down to 2,900. That was with no cage but if you tried i'm sure there is a way to get it light.

Thanks! We had some parts for sale that were in the car. Most of the stock stuff has no been posted up but if its still in good condition we would sell it.

Thanks we will, keep you updated on our racing. We like to take pictures and video while we are the track. We did some last year with our e46 M3 but we are going to do more this year. Plus we should have some in car footage with our aim smarty cam.

Yes, but food expense would blow the budget.

Ill wait for vs to comment but from my experience and seat time with kris (owner and drive) you would understand why he is racing with 6mt, he is insanely good and you can see from the video below of what he can do. I am very pumped to see what kris can do this season

Rules are limiting us on many mods. Even though it limits us it is more fun to race is a class with restrictions if there are 15 plus people in that class. Than to race in a class with 4 cars and unlimited restriction.

We have been in that position before with an unlimited car but really your racing agains very few people or any.

We could run the DCT trans but there is a weight penalty for that

Haha yea we could but actually the owner of VS Motorsports races the car.

To make weight we have 25lb lead bricks we place in the car.

Not much of an update yet but the steering wheel, hub, and quick disconnect is all in.

Hopefully we will have the car back in about a week.

Good news is it looks like the SCCA is going to approve some modifications on this car. Hopefully springs, sway bars, front&rear brakes, and less weight

We have been working hard to get a group of cars done for this weeks Nasa event, so we have not had as much time to work on our car. One of the things you will notice is our color choices for the E92 cage and panels. We always try to stay true to the BMW brand, so our color choice for the cage is interlagos blue. Our trunk block off and beauty panels are painted frozen black. Our goal is to have this car completed by this Thursday to start our testing. We will try hard to keep this thread updated. Thank you for your patience.

The car is coming along great and very close to being done. Here are some pictures when we took it to Autobahn Country Club last week. The vinyls will be going on the week of May 7th!

That looks fantastic. If you had to guess a ballpark of the cost to replicate?

So jealous, that is an awesome looking car. I'm surprised you were able to get it so light while not trying too hard since class rules have a min. weight anyway. Maybe one day...
