I find that the rubber sticks more to clear bra than without it. I usually use bug and tar remover to take it out. Clay for real tough spots. The Mother's product looks like a winner though! Might have to try it out.

+1 I just leave them on ... just going to get more. Eventually the whole car will be black.

You clay your clear bra? What do you do for swirl?

Well since nobody cared to recommend a clear bra cleaner I went and got some purple power (they were out of simple green )
It worked good enough but I had to put a fair amount of elbow grease to get the tire crap off the clear bra. Also, word of advice: Don't use goof off on the clear bra. It turns it yellow right Very fast. Luckily I tried it on a door strip so I just peeled that off. Purple power didn't discolor the bra. |

I clay it lightly. Make sure you keep it very well lubed and go over it with multiple light passes. Sometimes clay has a tendency to stick to clear bra which is bad so that's why you keep it well lubed. And keep it away from the edge! There is nothing worse than clay getting stuck to the clear bra edge.
For removing swirls in clear bra... I polish it with the porter cable with a light chemical cleaning polish like Klasse all in one or Werkstat Prime. Beyond that, you should avoid any abrasive polishes as it will scratch the clear bra. Clear bra is designed to be replaced so when it gets really bad, you reapply it. |

here is the stuff that I use. Premier in LA sells it. This is excellent product for taking care for your bra. It takes zero effort to get rubber marks off your clear bra with it. You want your bra to last and be rubber free - this is it. Last edited by thorny; 10-01-2012 at 12:42 AM.. |

Do yourself a favor and use road wrap before your next session. Easy to put on doesn't give the painter's tape look and peels off easy.

I use diluted simple green to get rubber marks off paint. Works great! If you wash it right off, it ain't going to eat a hole in the body panel Although I wouldn't leave simple green on the any parts of the car for prolong period of time. And it doesn't work well on clear bra.

Zymol Stryk (or however it is spelled) works well too.
Mothers is likely more easily available so I'll try that when I run out of the Zymol stuff.

Meguiars Swirl Remover 9 works excellent. Also cleans up clear bra and gets cone marks off too!

Gunk tar-n-bug remover
Gunk Bug-N-Tar remover works great; no rubbing.
