My truck got stolen, so I'm in the market for a new daily driver…

Any ideas? What are you driving?

I have a '14 Mazda 3 that I use as my DD/winter car. I've had it for 5 years and it's been nothing but reliable. Other than regular oil changes and maintenance, I haven't had a single thing go wrong with it and it's never left me stranded. Granted, it's just me and my wife (no kids), so it works for us. After my experience with it, I would buy another Mazda for sure.

I drive an 07 Infiniti FX35 for my daily. Like you, I live in the City and have to street park it, so it gets beat to hell but it's been nothing but reliable. Mine has almost 150k miles and it just keeps on going, awful SF streets and all. Only downside is that it's not great on gas.

They're relatively cheap and I'd have no worries picking up another one.

A familiar BMW feel is a great advantage of staying with the brand for a more useful daily X5. I shopped a large inventory of 2019 lease returns to find a nice trade in.
The best perk is I'm keeping the miles off my M3 more these days.

I think my RS3 makes a great daily driver. AWD and 4 doors plus it's just the "right size"

It runs 0-60 in 2.64 seconds and 1/4 mile in 10.55@133 on the street with just a few simple bolt-ons, full weight. I highly recommend it.

2020 Hyundai Palisade, for the Mrs. and mine is a 2018 430i xdrive Gran Coupe which is surprisingly fast and agile.

I picked it up from someone who could no longer drive and assumed the lease, very happy with it and very pleased to not drive to and park my M3 at the airport.

I have been rocking an R55 Mini Clubman JCW in British Racing green over cloth for the last few year. Gotta say these cars are just a blast to drive. Not really all that much power (208hp) but light enough to make it seem fast. This one is a stripper spec, with cloth seats, no sunroof, no nav. Not to say these don't have some issues but nothing unusual compared with other BMW's. And did I mention they are a blast to drive? Wow! Best daily I have had by far, and I have run E36 M3's, E30 325is, E21's and E46's. Not to mention I can haul lumber, sod, mulch, landscaping stones and whatever else I need to. Very utilitarian. Oh, and a blast to drive! Really good! A 5-door go-cart!

E91 touring wagon-- reliable, cheap, good gas mileage, and the knowledge from the M3 (platform) transfers over.
