American Passport Ownership Map by the States

Here’s an interesting map of passport ownership in America. It certainly reaffirms certain stereotypes about the country.

Not surprised at all. I'll bet many more of those in the south east have never even left their state. FTR I'm one of the few in Georgia with a passport

... I am kinda glad that is the case. I don't want those people leaving the country and involuntarily representing our nation.

They did quite a lot of that back in the mid to late 80's - specially in Europe.

My brother was a late night concierge at a hotel in Amsterdam back then and used to tell me all kind of crazy stories ...A funny one I recall him saying was about a lot of American tourists always coming down to the lobby in shorts, black socks and no shoes asking where the ice machine is located in the hotel because they could not find any on their floor

By 80's do you mean 90's? Especially since you're like 25 years old and your brother is probably in his 30's.

I <3 you, you old fuck.

I have never met someone who didn't have a passport... (Except those with only residencies or green cards, but that's different. they're trying to get a passport at the very least)

Amen to this. We go visit family almost every year or two back in Germany and one time late September first week of Oktoberfest we went to just chill at a beer garden and there was a large group of Americans who had no respect for traditions. It was soo embarassing especially with the younger nephew and niece in tow.
