You think a supercharged V8 is equal to a turbo'd 6? If you supercharged an E92 M3 it would destroy and F M3/4. That being said it's preference. I like the V8 more but I think you'd enjoy the newer car just because it's the newer car if that makes sense.

What's the rationale behind not wanting more torque across the entire rev range at the track? Are you worried about traction?

Yeow! That's the quickest C7 Vette I've seen. And it had the GM 6-speed
"traditional" automatic gearbox. That's just one more example of a current automatic (of whatever design) beating its stick counterpart. I'm torn between admiration for the steady engineering improvement demonstrated in today's autos, and being pissed off since I haven't matured enough to buy one.
No, will have to pick up the issue. I'm awfully enamored by the new Jag F-type R for both looks and engine though. What a car.

Anybody else feel if one posts anything realistically not so great about the new car you are labeled a hater, you're just a fanboy of the E9X and my new car that I haven't driven yet will eat yours, or accused of "what do you know have you driven it?" Like walking into a hornets nest over there LOL.

The best ones are when they say we are just jealous. When lot of current e90 owners could switch to the f80 in the coming years if they wanted to.

I know. The mods deleted my posts and everyone called me a troll and freaked out when I made any criticisms. Given that the M4 looks and sounds like a ricer it seems like it's attracted the young ricer crowd who constantly mention tunes and can't discuss the car in a mature manner. I'm sticking to this side of the tracks for a long time.

Will the E9X M3 forum disappear eventually? Maybe I should have started another topic for this.

I definitely wouldn't say you're jealous...

You're just trying to rationalize your decision of buying a very late model M3 when the new m3/m4 is right around the corner and better than the m3 in every aspect except the subjective parts (looks and sound).

i didn't buy the car. i leased in late 2012, and will be looking at another car next year. i like the price point of a M3. its affordable with the looks and performance i like. which is why i am very upset i have to spend more money to get a engine i like now. even the M5 is not at all that appealing to me.

i was last week looking at maserati granturismo at a local dealership. love the engine and looks. it sucks i have not pay 120k+ now for cars i want.

Is there a particular reason you are spending so much of your time on this and other threads, looking for trouble? Everyone has their own reasons for keeping their current M3 or off-loading it for the new one. What are you trying to achieve?

...and steering feel. It is also looking like an E92 with bolt-ons is probably faster.

except GT-R. That car amazes me. Still the engine is almost same displacement as M3 E9x

The gtr is a twin turbo v6 with awd and a dct. The car is fast, but I probably won't own one.

If only there was a way to disguise how ugly it is... When you're paying that kind of cash for a car, it better be more than fast.
