Until Accords costs $73k, and don't run commercials on TV every 5 minutes to get your grandma to buy the car, this comparison is just stupid.
Taking your ownership a little too seriously? Remember it's just a car. Maybe you should get out and visit OC. There are more BMWs than Civics. In Northern Virginia M3s might be relatively rare. But around here it's too common. Even a Porsche doesn't set you apart. In my post I was merely expressing when you see many M3s everyday. Your ownership experience is not as special. I don't necessarily like this fact. But it's a fact.

I dont think he meant if like that. And he might not know how douchey it is in OC with cars. Ballers have planes helis and yachts. The car game down there is on a while different level.

This is true. Although I think m3 drivers here actually ignore each other on purpose. Don't totally get it, but it's all good! I'll just enjoy my ride.

If they don't acknowledge them, they don't exist. They can still feel special that way.

Making eye contact may be recipe for disaster. It might be interpreted as "do you want to race". Unless the guy looks half decent, I will not make eye contact or acknowledge. I am trying to be snobbish ... Just leaving others alone. I always stop either ahead of the other car or a half a car length behind. Then no room for chit chat.

I know BMWs are plentiful where I live as it is in OC. Hell, the two best Cars and Coffee events in the United States is in Irvine and here in DC Metro area, so no need to lecture me on what is plentiful and that our two respective regions have a high appetite for fast cars.

I agree M3s are plentiful as well, but comparing why Accord owners don't wave at each with M3s owners is just ridiculous. come on...

Accords are sold to a much boarder customer base than the M3...etc etc, I'm not going to lecture you on this either.

Perhaps it's the OC culture, who knows, but at least here in No. Va, we actually know most of the M3 owners in the 3 miles radius (actually have talked to them both personally and via this forum). And guys who live in the more rural regions of VA are even tighter, they reach out to DC metro owners, and likewise we all chat/hang out. Has to be a culture thing. Oh well.

And who's fault is it to live in California where the:

1) taxes suck ass
2) gun laws suck ass
3) they are a top 5 crime state
4) there are way to many people living there
5) the state is broke
6) most everyone is go go go
7) its an all about status state
8) cost of living sucks ass

etc etc etc

Shall I go on?

Dont get me wrong I am from San Diego and own a home there. Just saying that aside from a 200 mile zone in southern California you will not see modified M3s on a daily basis.

Ohh and one other funny thing, colored Volks here would be the laughing stock of the state. Not only would everyone from 16-60 years of age laugh at your car, it would get vandalized and keyed. Sad but true. Some states are not ready for California image cars.

Agreed. I live in SD, and have lived in both LA and OC, and believe the number of e9x m3s in SoCal is frequently overstated. Yes you see them with more frequency than the rest of the country but they are in no way ubiquitous. OC was hit pretty hard by the housing crunch and downturn in the mortgage industry; also while there are wealthy areas of OC, there are also communities in the county which are pretty average with regard to affluence.

congrats! I was wondering why your forum activity was low last few weeks!
Thanks! Going to install the baby Recaro seat as soon as the infant carrier loses its convenience. I try to check the forums on my phone, the new iPhone app should make it easier. I am more focused on getting enough sleep at the moment.
Recaro car seats are awesome! I have 2 in my e92.

I had an evo ix mr and the crowd was pretty good. Anytime I see an evo and they drive by I used to say "socalevo?", and I even do now out of habit if I'm outside and they are slowly driving by......

Then ppl were getting out of the car, different types of people were buying used and I wanted to get out so bad I blew the motor LOL.....but I sold the shell for $9.5k to another evo guy. Never cared about the evoX though.
