BSW upgraded speakers kits any good?

How good are these upgraded speaker packages from BSW? Has anyone on the forum used them before in any previous BMW?

http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/pr...Series-M3-E92/

Thanks!

Depends what you're expecting out of it and what your car has now. Do you have the enhanced premium system or just the hi-fi system?

Based on their website, the Stage 1 kit is still in development for the enhanced premium system (they refer to it as DIRAC/Individual).

There are no issues with your OEM speakers, the issue is the OEM amp.

Replace the OEM woofers, though.

For the same $600 of the BSW speakers you could buy the MotusLab MOST > RCA converter, replace the OEM amp and install any amp (you need at least 7 channels) that you like and you will be rockin' in no time.

I thought this guy was around $2k. Do you have any additional info on the converter, Technic?

If its that cheap then it sounds like it would be a good alternative to the BitOne.1. What are your thoughts?

I've looked at the BSW package as well, but have the standard (non-premium) system in my car. I assume speakers do need to be upgraded so this might be a good way to go? I am no audiophile, but would like a little cleaner and richer sound.

bumping this old thread to see if anyone has recent experience with this speaker upgrade? i have the 10-speaker non-upgraded system which is called hi-fi,the bsw upgrade would replace the 4 tweeters and mids, not the underseat subs.here's the link:
http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/pr...Series-M3-E90/

i know there are other threads on this,i've read lots of them, but the more recent ones mostly discussed other options.it's probably this or nothing for me,so just looking for new feedback on this system.thanks.

Others have done the JL amp upgrade before moving on to speaker upgrade. Amp is much easier to install than speakers.

I initially considered BSW, but, after seeing and hearing a Reus system, I went with their system and installation.

I was able to see and hear a Reus Systems upgrade at Bimmerfest.

I was impressed with the quality of installation and most importantly, the sound.

I have stock enhanced premium audio.

Reus Systems installed a sub and amp, swapped the stock tweeters and installed a small speaker in the back of the rear view mirror.

update-

i got the bsw speaker upgrade, which replaces the 8 tweeters and mids (not the subs) of the stock hifi system.it sounds great.the sound has been transformed from mud to music,it is a lot better than hifi. very clear, fine quality.the speakers appear very well made, and my mechanic friend said installation was super easy.

it won't blow you away, and is not the highest level of audiophile sound, but it doesn't claim to be and i would highly recommend it,especially for the less than $500 i got it for.i'll probably do the amp when it comes out.

Why would u need a speaker in your rear view? You already have a center channel speaker? That Rues guy is whoring himself around Cars and Coffee every Saturday.

does anyone know if you have to remove the front seats to swap out subs?since this upgrade didn't include the subs,i'll deal with those separately.

How do you think the BSW upgrade compares to the enhanced premium sound?

I'm leaning toward getting the standard system and doing the BSW upgrade; rather than spending $$$ on the enhanced premium sound system, as most threads here seem to bash it for lack of clarity.

I shall strongly advise otherwise. I am lready down a 1k and not happy;( as speakers are one part of equation( std no rear tweeters, no trunk speakers), bad amplifier and tuner,no dsp;(

i think this would be a good way to go.i spent less than $500 for the speakers with a discount code, and it already sounds about as good or better than the upgraded factory system (maybe logic 7) i had in a loaner 2012 335i.i haven't heard the eps system in an m3,so i can't speak specifically to the comparison.if they ever come out with the amp i'll probably add it,and then it should sound better than the $1900 eps for less money.

again,it's a good way to go if you want easy installation of a system designed for the car.itwas definitely a worthwhile upgrade for me.
