OEM kit can be retrofitted easily, we will be coming out with our own shortly as soon as code is cleaned up.

RDSport and H&R are the popular choices for EDC-equipped vehicles. You won't see much of a drop through.

Dealer is insane, hold out for our kit or we can set you up with an OEM kit for half that.

Remus exhaust

Next on the list was exhaust. There are quite a few exhaust choices for the e9X m3 already and we will be working with a few of these companies during the course of our building - including our own.

The stock exhaust setup on the M3 is very good from the headers back to the mufflers, but can benefit a bit on aesthetics from the rear since the stock muffler seems to protrude a bit from beneath the rear bumper. For our first choice, we went with the Remus Sport since this provided a stylish tip and shed about 10lbs from the stock muffler.

After

Needless to say, we're pretty happy with the new setup

Matte Black Attack.....

Moving onto aesthetics.

The reflectors are simply hideous on this car and take aware from the smooth body lines on the front bumper. Also since the vehicle was delivered with a front plate - those holes needed to be filled as well in order to reverse the damage done from the dealership. After obtaining some flat bumper plugs, we had these and the OEM bumper reflectors repainted in Sparkling Graphite in order to cloak these with the vehicle to clean up the front a bit.

We're also not fans of chrome - not one bit. There are numerous black items on the vehicle from the window trim, hood vents, lower mesh, you name it. The chrome just doesn't seem to mesh well at all - so Matte Black was decided upon in order to add to an already aggressive look to the M3.

The front grilles were swapped out for our Matte Black versions as well as the fender gills resprayed in Matte Black to match the kidneys:

Also forgot to add one more item that was repainted in Matte Black:

More to come...

VMR Matte Black V710s installed

They say the first thing a woman notices is your shoes. The same applies to vehicles as they make the biggest statement. Now that the drop was dialed in, exhaust installed - we needed to get some new wheels bolted up.

We have a very close relationship with the vendors we choose to work with, VMR not being any bit of the exception. We decided to debut the V710s from VMR ain early June when fitments were being verified:

For reference, these are the General UHPs in 245/35-19 in front and 275/30-19 in rear. Vehicle is on stock suspension, a lot has changed since then.

We have a very unique planned for this M3, meaning all chrome or silver items are out the window. Since the fender gills and kidneys were always swapped for Matte Black - we wanted the wheels to match.

Wheels are the new V710 in Matte Black, which we will be releasing in early October. Specs are as follows:

Finish:
Matte Black

Bolt Pattern:
5x120mm

Center Bore:
72.6mm

Size:
19"x8.5" +25mm Matte Black
19"x9.5" +22mm Matte Black

Weight:
Wheel: 25.0lbs Front
Wheel: 25.5lbs Rear

Tire Size:
255/35-19 Front Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
285/30-19 Rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A

Rubber is a bit more aggressive as well and we choose the Bridgestone Potenza RE050As in 255/35-19 up front and 285/30-19 in rear. New wheels were installed and debuted at SoCal Euro last Sunday.

On with the pics:

At SoCal Euro on 8/10/08:

Our new BMW Performance Steering Wheel has arrived and just installed in time for SoCal Euro, we've documented the install and will be posting our experience shortly:

It's been a busy month.

Next stage is to be displaying in VMRs booth at AutoCrave in Long Beach on August 16, then the real fun starts as we enter into the carbon fibre phase.

The car looks great, and I'm monitoring this thread closely.

I do have a quick question though. Did you paint the side gills matte black or did your company produce a matte black version/insert?

Ours were painted for the time being, we are just completing the molds for the matte black and fibre versions we'll be offering soon.
