Just did the oem ehaust mod wow!!!

I just did the oem exhaust mod.... All
I have to say videos don\'t show how amazing it sounds...i cut out all the pipes the had the holes in it and put new pipes and put back all the packing back in...and wow sounds greatttttttt no drone and not to loud just perfect. Again this is just my thoughts on it..

I did the mod tonight too just like you. It does sound great! Sounds stock while cruising but has a nice roar while accelerating! I also painted the muffler black & installed the "Edition" black chrome tips while it was off.

Did you tap weld the tips back on? I know the stock tips are held on my rivets and you have to drill them to get them off. How did you install the new ones? I am interested on getting black tips.

I bought the tips & rivets from Tischer and bought a rivet gun from lowes. I bought 2 just in case cuz I heard it sometimes stop gripping after 8-10 rivets. Mine worked fine though. I returned both for a full refund after I was done installing the tips

glad you like it... more people need to do this. When I had mine it was amazing seeing what 200$ can get you lol. truly the best bang for your buck mod.

Is there a tutorial for how to do this mod? Do you just cut a hole in the muffler then cut out all the pipes?

Yes there is... It should be towards the top in the exhaust section... Oem exhaust mod or search periokid

What paint did you use to spray the muffler? Any concerns of it wearing off from heat?

When i did mine i used duplicolor high temp paint on the tips an it held up very well

Exactly!

Not to put down AFTERMARKET exhaust, but OEM exhaust with cats gone is sick sounding...and its about 200 bucks at an exhaust place or less!

Sound sick, and if you want to put an oem one back on its cheap to buy an OEM e92 m3 exhaust.
