I wouldnt be ordering a car, just getting a car off the lot. Actually ive been looking around at Los Angeles area dealers and there arent many 2010s around even...i think one dealer had like 6 or 7 at the most, with a couple of sedans and verts tossed in.

That ZCP code not necessarily mean that there's a ZCP-specific module/different P/N from a regular M3 DSC/EDC module. The ZCP code is in the Vehicle Order. Your MY2010 M3 will not have that code in your VO. Therefore, the coding of a ZCP feature cannot be done in a non-ZCP unless BMW allow it and set ISTA/P to do it, which I doubt.

I would guess that ZCP and ZTP will be treated exactly like Extended Leather and ZPP in the Pricing guide, a separate/lower price for both options when selected.

I would guess at least $3k-$3.5k.
The full MSRP of the E46 CSL wheels was just $2100 but limited to CSL VIN customers, before the insanity of importing few sets for $6000 into the USA. The lowest discounted price for E46 M3 ZCP wheels (fundamentally the same CSL wheels but less wide fronts) from an US dealer was $1600 shipped last year, and that was Tisher BMW.

So these E92/90 ZCP wheels look like $1800-$2000 a set with discounts as this is most probably a cast/spun cast wheel as well.

Ah, so it's not looking for a module but a coding string. Makes sense. Silly on BMWs part, but I get what you're saying. Makes me hope the programming really is marketing bunk now.

Thanks Technic.

Yes, I was referring to "ZCP" as in a "ZCP equipped car" and a "software module specific to a ZCP equipped car that has the ZCP option on it's vehicle order". Such "ZCP specific modules" could include ones for EDC and DSC although now I see a posting saying there really are no "ZCP specific modules" for these two systems and it may be mere marketing verbiage.

Yes, kind of: I heard they were discontinued from being OEM equipment due to some new EU regulation.

Ahh, I see. Well what are they to offer instead?

P.S.
Remember to discussion about the M5 and a certain Audi rival being readied. Well it appears that it might be Geneva.

Yeah I know, but what I was meaning was I past some info to south regarding the RS6+.

Regarding the M5 and not wanting to get too far off topic but a few of us have privately being discussing and speculating whether Kers will be present and if so in what form.

They switched to Continental (SC3).

Sounds like an exciting Geneva show this year. This would mean two RS and two ///M concepts, then. Both would be a first. We're digressing, I'm afraid.

Best regards,
south

Too bad there's no real performance upgrade like it had on the E46 comp pack with the upgraded steering rack.

we are digressing but what the heck.

Back on topic.

So they have switched to the dreaded Contis, I can't think of a tyre I dislike more, though that said they are great in the wet.

P.S.
If the RS6+ does show at Geneva, remember the figure I told you, no matter what is stated officially.

Did you ever think that the E46 needed that steering upgrade, I don't think the same is true for the present one.

I hated the CSC2 when I bought my E55 AMG. I literally tossed them away after break in and bought a set of 19s with PS2s.

I don't think the E9X needed a new rack, but can use more fine tuning than what the new ZCP is offering. It's more of an appearance than real performance / competition upgrades.

It's surprising how lighter alloys and suspension tweaks can alter the feel from the wheel, admittedly little but personally that is all the M3 might need.
