Hello From Milwaukee!
Hello from Milwaukee! First post since the new M3 has arrived. Had the car for one month, at 1,103 miles - break-in almost done! Purchased from International Autos on Hwy 100 in West Allis.
Hey BigBoost, are you driving your car year round? I had a very scary night last monday with the ice storm. Snow tires/rims arrived the next day from TireRack and now i'm set for winter. Here are a few pictures from a few weeks ago. I'll post pics of the winter setup soon. -Josh |

Congrats on the new M3! I bought my M3 Coupe @ International as well. Good bunch of guys there on the sales side. To advise, I had a very bad experience with my initial 1,200 mile servicing @ International. I specifically told the service manager, I did not want anyone but me driving my car & I wrote down the mileage, yet when I picked up my car it had over 5 miles on it. They claimed only the head service guy drives any of the M cars & they have to in-order to ensure everything was ok with the car. I asked how many miles do they drive the car & he advised only a mile or two. I asked him to explain how I got 5 miles on my car then & why the seat was moved & adjusted. Not just moved, but someone adjusted the side bloster, as well. Of course, he had no answer & was actually fairly rude about it. They have a bunch of young punks moving the cars around & it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what happend. I called BWM corporate to complain, as I was pissed.... I'll never take my car there for servicing again.... Just my $.02 cents. I am going to drive in the car this winter, but not on the really bad days. Since I'm going to get some HRE's this summer, I ordered some Blizzak's for the stock 19" wheels & I will put them on this Monday. Monday nite was bad & your much braver than me, as I would have never ventured out with the stock tires in that snow/ice.... Wait till break-in is over.... the car is sooooo much more fun, especially with the DSC off... Thanks-Big Boost Last edited by Big Boost; 11-23-2008 at 06:36 PM.. |

Wow, not good news about International Autos. We really like Andy S. in the Audia department. He's the one that I worked with. I'm at 1,200 miles now so I'll need service soon. I'll be careful if I take the car there. Not too worried as i'll watch the milage on the car before I leave the car with them.
The only problem I’m having is that the car is not able to play music off an Ipod despite that the songs show up on the Nav screen. I'm also really shocked as to how slow the audio system changes songs and the delay between satellite stations when changing them. Seems like 2-3 seconds, way longer than my Infiniti G37. I want to check out the HRE's you get for your car this spring. Those will be sharp. |

I use my Ipod all of the time & have no-issues. Did you use the cord that came with a car or a different one? That could be your issue. Yes, the satellite stations are slow to change, but not much slower than the other cars, I've had with satellite. Still no-luck on a finding a good detailing place in Milwaukee, but I haven't had a lot of time to luck or call around. |

Used to be in Madison, WI. There's a chance that I'll be back in the area for residency.

Madison is definitely the place to be when it comes to Wisconsin and the beaver there is great. I went to Marian College in Fond du Lac and have been to Madison a few times, its definitely a fun atmosphere.

I've talked to a few places, but I didn't feel like they knew that they were doing. Yeah, we'll wash & wax your car..... I want a really good clay & wax, like you see from the pic's of all the guys in CA... From a professional detailer. Anyone have any ideas? I think I may put a post in the detailer forum. |
