Can't comment on e93 roof dislocation since i have the sedan. you can do donuts with any transmission. just go in a circle and floor the throttle. oh and make sure you turn dsc off. Put the dct in manual so it doesnt upshift by itself.

Alright, I figured that much. I asked because the last time I needed tires I wanted to do a big burnout, but when I would floor the throttle the RPMs would just sit at about 1500.. I assume it did that because it thought I was going to launch the car

Without a manual transmission, you're free to hold anything you want in your right hand - donut, hairdryer, or burrito. So, yes, donuts are possible.

Yes,

Just turn DSC off, turn the wheel, and floor it (and then modulate throttle and steering position)... You'll do doughnuts easily.

Yes it is possible. Just remember to turn off traction control and do the donuts in the middle of a busy intersection to get as much attention on you as possible.

BMW Canada Driving school teach student how to do figure 8 with DCT Transmission.

They wet the test patch, and drive at 2nd gear, keep rpm at 4000 and then kick the gas padel.

Hmmm. I've done three track days in my E93 this year (two with the roof-down) and have been taking the corners fairly hard. Other than a tiny gasket issue (that was fixed in a few minutes) I've not experienced any problems with the roof' mechanism nor alignment. Now at 22,000 miles. And I drive, daily, up and down a stupid driveway ramp that puts the frame into a hell of a twist.

I suspect that keeping the car flat on a parking lot and drifting the end around for a minute or two will do zero to the roof alignment.

I seem to remember when you got the car -- how many miles are on your tires to cause them to go bald?

Oh snap! I thought my friends and I were hard-asses when we stole fast food trays and put them under the rear wheels of our Honda's so we could parking lot drift.
