335 Owners

I have owned both a 335i and M3 and I prefer the M3 in just about every catagory - looks, V8, handling, interior, M DCT. The 335i provides superior fuel economy but that's about the only thing I think I like better about it. Don't get me wrong, the 335i is a great car and I loved it when I owned it, but the M3 is on another level.

+1 on that. In general the M3 gets overwhelming respect over any 335 and these guys become angry trolls because of this. That RIPM3 was lame, IMO.

Not putting down the 335, just saying some of these dudes are dense and angry!

1. 335is with STEPTRONIC trans is basically the same thing as M3 with M-DCT. Just need to change the wheels and you have an M3.

2. The 335is doesn't need that special oil. So annoying.

3. That hump on the hood of the M3. I like the more smooth and refined hood of the 335.

It's called an inferiority complex. And yes, the owner of the RIPM3 plate clearly has a bad case.

The funny thing is you can take almost any car and MOD it to be faster than another car. Not that hard, my 90 Mustang used to eat Corvettes for breakfast/lunch/dinner and I only had 10K in bla bla bla...... What non ///M people don't understand is the owning an ///M is like being a member of the ///M family. Prime example.... I have never had somebody come up to me at some place and said, is that your 12 X5 50i, I have a X5 also. I HAVE been numerous places and no matter what ///M car a person has, a conversation would strike up about our cars. Why is that, because ///M cars are special

Enjoy your super fast common 335(is) while I will enjoy my ///M3 along with all the other ///M enthusiast heheh

Why don't we all just go to the men room and pull it out and see who's bigger and end this talk about who's car is better.

Life is shorter than you know. Enjoy it while it lasts without adding more BS.

I thought the 335is has DCT not steptronic. Not sure if it is the same thing as the M DCT though...
