Good source for good price on a spare?

After venting and recovering from a possibly defective "mobility kit" experience, it has struck me that I might benefit from having an additional wheel/tire for storage in my garage as a spare.

I had enough time to get back to a family garage, but the car sits until I can make it in to my BMW dealer for an eval/possible replacement (wife insisted on purchasing tire/wheel insurance-might be a great decision seeing that I've only made it 2.5 months before what seems a total loss of a tire).

The tire now seems to completely deflate overnight. I can't see a nail/screw, because I don't want to drive it until the appointment, but there must be something major. It would have been quite a bit easier had I been in possession of a spare/additional tire to transport this one in.

Are there any good prices on rims/wheels that anyone is aware of? I could probably use a new comp pack wheel anyway as I was forced into a pothole and damaged my front passenger rim. Nearly $600 for the wheel alone seems high enough to keep my wife from thinking it's a good idea "just in case".

Turner or GetBMWParts.com have good prices on OEM ZCP wheels.

Another alternative is a compact spare. There's lots of info on compact spares here:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...act+spare+tire. It's a big thread. Go to the most recent postings for the latest info.

GregW_/_Oregon posted a link to the compact spare thread to your previous sealant disaster thread.

That was what I was thinking. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good deal (at least better than Tischer-which is the best I've seen so far).

Gonna be hard to beat Tischer. Just be happy that you are able to use your old wheel as a spare and the car will be rolling with a perfect set of wheels/tires! It could be worse
