When can I Supercharge?

I just purchased a 2013 M3. I'm back and forth on charging. One, if I sell it in 6-12 months ill waste another 10k on a charger (i did this once already). Two, It a lot harder to sell the car with a supercharger eapecially with the new ones coming out soon.

This is my third E92 M so I know if I'm thinking about it already I will probably het bored and do it. The car currently has 450 miles. It will take me 2-3 months before I get the 1500 mile break in period. At that point I will probably be ready. SO my question is how many miles should I wait to charge it? Is 1500 enough or should I wait until I'm at 3-5k miles?

Edit- broken Iphone screen and treadmill = broken English for those who want to be critical.

I would figure that after your break in period is complete you are good to go. If you plan on selling it in 6-12 months then don't bother, the choice is yours in the the end. The new M3/4's will be really cool to have but the NA V8 is a keeper in my opinion.

i would only do it if i planned to keep for long term. need to be honest with yourself also. its easy to make false plans just to justify a purchase.

Just charged my car @ 370 miles. You can install the blower at anytime, just follow normal break-in procedures for the car and blower once installed.

In terms of value when selling you'll probably lose out 9 of 10 times.

Just do it!

No better way to break-in your M3 that with a supercharger!!!

We've installed on car with as little as delivery mileage. As long as you and your right foot behave you'll be fine.

Probably a little like - The tech that installed the supercharger also performed the service. I honestly would not let anyone else even close to my car, other then Corey.

Too many horror stories to ever let a dealership touch my car. MRF in Irvine, CA does everything for me.

I say SC it if you have the money. Something tells me you won't get bored with an ess vt-650 under the hood! You can always resell the kit when you are ready to trade up for that new M4...

We've had a handful of customers ship their car directly to our facility from various Dealerships across the country to have their kit installed. In these cases, we recommend the normal break-in procedure to be completed before the supercharger is installed. No other special requirements for a new car.

Here's a link to someone who was in the same situation at one point: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=815722
