Anyway you can post some more pictures and some inside outside videos, maybe a dig and a drive by? I am very seriously considering this mod, but just would hate to chop up my pipes only to not like the sound...

I'm not sure if my video camera is recording sound or not. I shot a couple seconds of film to test it and the video plays back, but there isn't any audio. And I can't rule out the speaker on the camera because I can't find the cable to connect to my computer. I promise I'll get some videos up as soon as I get it sorted out.

As far as the sound goes, I think you'll love it. It's loud, and can drone at highway speeds, but that's what's great about being able to close it back to stock. It sounds like what you would expect a smaller displacement V8 to sound like. It isn't raspy like the E46, it has a nice high-ish pitch to it.

I have some new questions. I think that this will be the first exhaust mod I try and hope I love. I have a 2 yr old son and the need to have it be stock pulling into my garage is HUGE.

So here are the questions -
1. Do you get a CEL warning? Im assuming not as the cutouts are behind the sensors.

2. When you press the button to open the valve is it just one press and its open, or you have to hold it till its open all the way? I am wondering if you can open them halfway sometimes if you want some noise but not super loud.

3. Someone asked about drone with them open but I dont think you answered that yet. Does it drone? and if so at what RPM/gear?

4. Did you have a tune done after? If so what kind? If not Im assuming you dont feel that its needed?

Thanks for all the info and help.

D

Yeah, I'm in Raleigh. I rarely make it to Charlotte; maybe once or twice a year.

I know I'm slacking on the video, but I'm not buying a new camera just for this. It sounds nearly identical to this, though, before they put the muffler back on.

Wiring is very simple. Find/make a hole under the car somewhere, and run the wires to where you want the switch. Find ground and 12+ and mount the switch.

Done and Done.

HA! I know who's car that is...great guy and one hellava driver too. I think he still has one of the old Team PTG M3's (E36) race cars and races it.
