Varis rear diffuser..enough ground clearance?

I really like the Varis rear diffuser, I used to have some of their aero for my evo. I'm on the fence about buying because I don't know how it would stand up to city driving. I'd hate to lose $3k+ over a bump

Can anyone who has the VRS setup chime in on ground clearance? Do you worry about speed bumps or reverse parking? Thanks!

Yes, for daily I would choose something else. I had one on my old E92 and it was downright scary to drive around. It was MM away from being chopped off many of times.

Ever see the piece on my car? The Downforce USA piece? I don't think it hangs quite as low as the Varis one. Sure, it doesn't have as much bad-assery as the Varis one, I think mine's a bit more simple, but the idea is cosmetically similar as far as covering the underside goes.

It's priced similarly to the Varis diffuser.

That said, I don't think either of them are particularly low. You'd have to go up something REALLY steep to scrape them.

i had no problem with any bump. even theres some big bump, and my car has zcp package, so, its been lowed a little bit, and i still dont have any dmg on it. and great piece to have.

It doesn't affect normal driving whatsoever.
