Vreds 18" size

Hi,

Basic question is: What size Vreds do you use on the stock 18" rim?
Background:
So new to the forum and thank you in advance for the help and welcome. I have a 08 M3 interlagos blue with DCT trans. Love the car having owned since new, August 08, and driven 17k on it with three track days. Just burned up my PS2s. Amazed they lasted that long with three track days in the mix. But they did!!! I have read extensively on tires here on the BB but cant find the answer to this.

I really want to try out the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas but the sizing is throwing me off. I have stock 18" rims and stock size is 245/40 up front and 265/40 in the back. Vreds don't seem to come in the 265/40. I see 275/35 but does that have a big affect on speedo and handling? That will change both width of the tire and rolling diameter.

Lastly anyone ever get an answer to the weight for the vreds vs the PS2s.

Thank you,
Jonathan

Here's what Mack225 did: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...&postcount=264. You could try PM'ing him. The sizes Mack225 used should work fine. You can expect your speedo error (read fast) to increase by about 3%.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I can't PM yet due to restrictions on the board for newbies.

Any other predicted problems (handling/ride) with changing the tire size like that on the stock rims? Increasing to 255/35 front and 275/35 rear?
