3/29 Drive Before the Meet-BearMTN

posted this in the original thread but didn't want it to get buried there...

I'm only about 10 min away from GSPlaza so I don't really have much of a drive to get to the meet especially w/ a nice caravan of BMW's so my question is who wants to get a driving meet before the meet? from my local area in Bergen County?

We can meet at around 7 a.m. or a little later if that's too early for some @ the Garden State PARKWAY rest stop between exits 171 & 172.....drive up to Bear Mountain do a quick run through the twisties then head back down to the GSPLAZA for the meet....btw I saw 7 a.m b/c it'll give us enough time to gather up drive up then back down to GSPlaza...

So who's down for this? I love attending meets and checking out everyone cars but I really get more enjoyment driving so lets get this going...

yeah 7 is early but it could easily become 7:30 to 8 a.m. waiting up for people to get to the depart spot @ the rest stop off the Garden State Parkway plus from that location is about a 30 min drive just to get to BearMTN play around in that area for for a while then drive down to Garden State PLAZA is going to be 45min from BearMTN, it'll easily be closer to 10:30 before you know it.....

roughly 45min give or take....not sure how many people we are going to get but I'm definitely going even alone if I have to b/c its been a while since I get out for a DRIVE, commute to work is boring to be honest...

Can't make the meet this wkend (saw it on the other forum - pretty much use that one exclusively), but I am only 5 mins from Bear Mountain and know another road here thats even better (218 over Storm King Mtn.) if you are ever up in the area.

yeah I've ridden that one on the bike but thats on the other side of the Bear Mountain Bridge and since we have to get back to the meet going to strictly keep the drive on this side of BMB....

I got things to do in the afternoon after the meet, plus they'll be less cars/hikers/bikers/runners on the road early...

ATTENTION!!!!!!

PM your phone # so I can have it...I'll PM you mine right back so just in case your running a little late your not left behind from the meet up spot...

looks like there might be some rain for us, if its not raining too too hard then I'm still going out for the drive @ that point its up to you if your going to come out drive @ your own risk

no problem chris, I'll keep you in the loop next time. Drive was so so b/c one of my favorite exits filled w/ nice twisties was closed (during winter mths they close exit) so we just drove around through BearMtn picked up some breakfast then headed down to the meet...
