Hope this makes sense. In the end, it does feel soft, looks nicer, and the stitching somehow fits very well with the Carbon Leather (if you are interested in that). However, I sat in one of the Press Cars (red on beige), and the extend looked fine. But I sat in another car and could not stand colored extended with the cup holders. Thus, I went for extended black. Best regards, CSL |

I had no idea there was an extended black leather option! I remember seeing pics of the extended leathers and there wasnt a black. I thought it was probably because you wouldnt notice the difference but it seems BMW did make a pointless extended black leather afterall

It's not just about the color people. The surfaces are still all leather, which some people like more than the typical plastic covering.
It's not completely pointless.

What does that have to do with anything?
I don't think that it's worth it, especially in black, but that doesn't mean that I don't understand why someone would want it. It is leather, so it is better than the plastic. In the end, once the initial cost has been absorbed you are left with the product. Many times, your displeasure with a product will far out weigh the initial cost. For many the end result is more satisfying. |

Plus you get the detailing of the stitching on the console. Not worth it to me.

Most wont ever see the difference between the Black extended and non extended, other than the dirver. For me it finnishes the car very nicely and if it is $19 more bucks a month then so be it. I had it in my M Roadster and it looked great. Plastic = Cheap in my opinion.

http://gallery.mac.com/ibins#100535 Is it a good value? No. Would I get it anyway? Maybe. |
