Good thing I'm moving out
So I get a notice in the mail about my renter's insurance. It says:
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED IN ACCORDANCE...blah blah....THIS POLICY WILL EXPIRE EFFECTIVE AT 12:01 AM ON 9/28/2007 AND THIS POLICY WILL NOT BE RENEWED. REASON(S) FOR NON-RENEWAL: The Company is reducing its overall exposure to catastrophic losses LOL thanks! Florida is such a f-ed up state.

No way! I can't believe they would actually come out and say that. I can understand WHY they would want to protect themselves. Florida is a f-ed up state. I'm selling my house there and buying a house in the Northwest. Where its nice and cold.

Ah yes, but it's a new year and people such as yourself have given them a way to save money by letting the policy expire and not renewing. For the next time a hurricane comes a knockin'

Yeah, I know. I never said you let it expire. THEY let it expire. Then they leave you to go find renters insurance somewhere else. It's shady.

sunny days, beautiful temps, sun in winter, no snow (but you can drive 1.5 hours to heavy snow in the winter), or a short drive to the beach also.... gotto love it

I thought I read a while back that Australia is comprised of almost entirely native born citizens and has an extremely low percent immigration annually.

I had $35,000 in damage from Hurricane Wilma. When I filed the claim, they said they sent me a cancellation notice the previous May, and a refund. Neither of which I got (and that I doubt were sent). Now it is all tied up in court, hopefully it will be over soon.
