I've been doing a lot of research on the forum and just would like to get a few more opinions. I ordered a set of MORR VS8.2's, 19x9 +22 and 19x10.5 +25.

I'm pretty set at 255/35 for the fronts, but am undecided for the rears. I sized some tires up online and it came out like this (see pic).

According to these measurements and based on least deviation from stock OD, I'm better off going with a 275/35 or a 305/30. My hesitation is that a 275 seems a little small for a 10.5" wheel and a 305 seems a little too large. Will a 305 even fit without rubbing? Will a 295 fit without rubbing? I know AD08's would rub based on their squared-edges, but not sure about other tires. 285/30 seems to be the worst choice in that it has the most deviation from stock OD.

Am I stressing too much about such a small percentage of difference? I read a couple of other threads about possible DSC and braking system failures/problems. Another concern is handling when increasing the stagger that much.

I'll be lowered on KW V3's. The drop I'm looking for would be slightly lower than ZCP. Tire prices are not a huge factor. Any opinions/advice are very welcome. Thanks in advance!

I think you should do 295/30/19 ad08's on your 10.5 rears. The look with be perfectly square but with those offsets you may most likely be rubbing.

I can also tell you that the 255/35/19 will be perfect for the 9's and will look perfectly squared as well but you may be rubbing on the inner fender liner.

Thanks for the input. What if I just go with a different tire then to possibly stay away from rubbing? From what I hear, the AD08's have very squared shoulders. Not sure how Hankook V12's or PSS's compare. Any thoughts?

I run 255/35 up front on the same 9" wide Morr VS8.2 and don't rub at all. I have 275/35 on the rears with a 10" width and the Michelin could easily handle another .5". 305's might be to wide especially compared to the way the 255 will look up front.

So you don't think they'd be too stretched with the 10.5" rear? If you had to choose between the 275/35 and the 295/30, what would you go with?

295/30 on a 10.5 inch rear wheel.

Go with the 295/30 on the rear 10.5. 305 will be too much IMO. I have 305s on my 11 inch wheels and it is quite square, so I think it would bulge on a smaller width wheel, even .5 on an inch. Think about it, 275 / 285 on a 10, 295 on 10.5 and 305 / 315 on 11, I think it's the Goldilocks pick!

I would not increase F-R stagger that much unless you dont like turning..a 275 35 19 will fit perfectly on a 10.5 (refer to this online wheel size app) http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp..

That said there are also mixed reports on whether a 255 is a too tall and will rub up front upon wheel turn in..some rub some dont

You really think increasing treadwidth by 20mm each side will negatively affect handling that much?

Sidenote: This will just be a DD for now. I don't know if I will be tracking.

After doing some more research, looks like stock overall diameter stagger is 2% bigger in the rear. So, to stick close to that and prevent any potential DSC intervention or braking system failures...I'd have to go 255/35F 275/35R. Next closest is 255/30F 285/30R. Not a lot of options for the latter, so looks like I'll be going with the 255/35 275/35 setup. I'll post which tires I go with - most likely PSS's or AD08's. Waiting on a quote from my dealer on the PSS's.

You misunderstand..the factory setup between front and rear is 20mm...245/265...so going with 255/275 keeps that same ratio and allows for more neutrel steering..

Going with a 255/295 setup increase the front rear stagger by 40mm which negatively impacts handling and promotes understeer..it looks good but I wouldnt go for that much of a stagger difference..besides 295+ tires cost a small fortune..

Just want to say that I run AD08 255-35 and 295-30 on ZCP wheels and Eibach springs(bit lower than stock ZCP) and no rubbing at all ! The set-up looks really bad-ass and feel just a bit less precise than stock tires sizes but so much more grip in acceleration and cornering , absolutly lovvvve it ! + AD08 are cheap ,not much difference in price from 275 to 295 !

Trust me ... 255/35 and 295/30 are the perfect sizes. I ran these exact sizes with my TE37s a couple years ago. The rears were 10.5" wide.

I ran 255/35 and 275/35 on my Morr's. They were only 10" wide in the rear.

Ended up going with Michelin PSS 255/35/19, 295/30/19. Sitting moderately aggressive on KW V3's. No rubbing at the front, but rubs on bigger bumps at the rear. Camber is maxed out. Bothers me enough that I will prob drop down to 275/35 soon.

Other than the size, the tires feel pretty good on the streets. They've got a pretty good amount of grip and they road noise is minimal. Haven't had a chance to drive in the rain much.
