BMW E9x seat... or E9x M3 seat? Does is matter?

Can't wait!

I don't want to put the Ralleye's in my E90...kind of need the back seat in this car more than in my E46 coupe. Which ironically has the quickfits.

The BMW E9X M3 seat. It does matter for the certification. The seat has already passed rigorous safety checks to be certified with the stock belts, but this test needs to be repeated with the new harness

That is excellent news. Thanks for letting us know. I'll be buying as soon as it's available.

I need one of these. My knees and arms hurt from trying to keep me in the seat.

How much will a harness help with lateral movement? Is a seat like OMP or Recaro needed. Trying to avoid that extra expense.

I take it he answered your questions / concerns regarding lateral movement?

Don't really need a new seat. The harness will keep you in pretty snug.

I think that's the beauty of the quickfits...you don't need to change your seats or add a roll bar.

Whereas other cars will need a new seat and roll bar if you want a harness.

We should see about getting a group discount with Schroth for this.

The whole point is you are strapped tightly (as you like) in your seat so you don't need to spread your knees and hang onto the steering wheel to brace yourself. You are part of the chassis, rather than on it with your limbs suspended to move freely.

It is worth noting that some organizations want the same restraint system in both seats, so if you still need an instructor, you will need a second harness.

We are getting close! I am excited!
