What a great idea! The dealership looks very modern and elegant. I like the lighting in the M6 pic. The e46 CSL looks brand new. I love it!

However, the M6 is alot heavier then the M3 and wont feel as light and agile off its feet as the M3. (even the M3 vert) Test drive and see for yourself, otherwise the M6 is a great car |

awesome place, to bad not one here in the states. suprised they didn't have the special edition E36 M3 LTW (think i got the letters right) but they made a small number of stripped down E36 M3 coupes that had the M stripes going across the hood. kinda like a E46 CSL but i think the engine was the same but i know it was stripped for lightweight. i got to see one here in a dealer in NJ once and it was a bad ass car. great deal too i think they were only selling it for 17k and it was mint with low miles on it

maybe around the track but its a pretty damn fast car
plus getting to hear the v10 with the top down has to be one of the most amazing experiences to be had in a BMW i think its actually as good if not better than the m5 and it is gorgeous I hope to buy a pre owned one someday[/QUOTE] I attended the 1 day M course in Greenville, SC, where we drove M3s/M5s/M6s. The latter two had SMG trannys and the former had the DCT tranny. I personally like the M3 best. I thought the V8 sounded better than the V10s. I also don't like the SMG. Compared to the DCT, which shifts very quickly, it feels like you're breaking the tranny every time you shift. I have an M3/DCT, but had never driven the SMG tranny. I guess I should have driven BEFORE trying to keep a $80K vehicle on the road, while being screamed at by driving course instructors. |

I love how they show the process. Like how they show the black E92 in primer, before it is finish painted. Pretty cool that BMW uses color matched primer on all their cars.
The M6 is really getting long in the tooth. Definitely time for a new model there. They really need an M1 on the show room floor to give the store authenticity. Nevertheless, neat idea of an M only store. Last edited by CORTDD; 08-02-2010 at 08:05 PM.. Reason: I ate too many chocolate chips. |

Just. Came. What a great idea.
Although LA and NYC are obvious choices, I think an M dealership would do well in South Florida like Boca Raton, South Beach or Ft. Lauderdale, too. Obviously people who pay six figures for an M3 are better at making money than spending it. Come to the US over the Pacific flying round-trip international first class, stay at the Ritz-Carlton for a week, get your car and ship it over. You'd still be saving 10's of thousands. I don't get that, there must be something up with that, because it sounds so plain dumb. I don't even think the guys from Beijing or Shanghai on the boards here are paying near that much, although I think it was in the low 100k's..
