Curbed my e90 was thinking of swapping left and right tires, but the are asymetrical... Thread closed.

That sucks...

I don't think you can flip the tire around. PSS are asymmetrical, meaning the outside of the tire will always be outside regardless of it being mounted on the left or right side of the car.

If you generally get uneven wear, buy symmetrical tires next time.

What tires do you currently have?

After curbing your wheels, just keep those wheels at same side. Don't flip them. The curb side wheels generally gets beat up with an urban car that does a lot of parallel parking

Michelin Pilot Super Sports... realized flipping is not an option since they are asymmetric.

Actually it is a suburban car I just made a mistake near an odd shaped parking lot aisle island with a pointed corner on it. Could not see it since it was very low. Will stay way from those from now on. Lol

Thanks

If they are on same axle and same size you can swap them. There isn't a different tire for left or right side, as long as outside is on the outside they are fine...

Correct but I am trying to hide the damaged sidewall which will always be outside... So nothing will be gained by switching vs flipping side to side... Thanks

Gotcha, you were planning on remounting the tire the opposite way.
