Teach me how to detail
Fellow M3'posters....
In the past I've hired some good detailers to clean my cars since i've never had the time to learn it myself. Now that i'm in Nashville and have a new M on the way id like to learn a bit to do it on my own. I have been using zaino products for my tires, leather and washing but i've never attempted to wax or polish cars myself. Are there any books or sites you can recommend to teach me? Also, what are the easiest products to use? The zaino products seem great but some have said they are hard to use, polishes and sealers I'm assuming. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance. |

Have you checked out the sticky on the top of this sub-forum?
There are a lot of videos on the web that can help you out. If you want to get into polishing, might want to consider an orbital buffer like a Porter Cable or Flex. A lot of people have their preference with detailing supplies. Personally, I use a two-step Meguar's M105/M205 polish. I might switch it up when I use it all up. Also, don't know much about Zaino, but when mentioned, Zaino seems to get decent/good reviews. Congrats on the new M! |
