HFC with a "Cat-less" Tune? (Dinan stage 2)

I have a question regarding X-pipes, cats, and tunes - specifically the Dinan Stage 2 tune.

I know the Dinan Stage 2 software tune is designed for the Dinan catless X-pipe. But I would prefer using HFC to limit the smell on my family car/DD (call me a wimp). Are there any implications of using a "catless tune" with a HFC setup, like the Challenge Sport?

I know there are other tunes out there that can be written for specific exhaust setups (ESS, Evolve, BPM, etc), but I already have a Dinan stage 1 tune, so an upgrade to stage 2 would be much more cost efficient than a completely new tune.

There is no difference between the Dinan racing middle exhaust software and their normal software except for keeping the CEL from illuminating due to catalyst efficiency and failing readiness.

I have been using the Dinan stage 2 software with an Akrapovic Evolution exhaust for over 2 years and ~27000KM now with no issues.

Exactly the info I was looking for. I was thinking they might have altered the software for catless exhaust flow, but I guess not. Thanks Jamie. Hope all's well up there.

It's possible that on a catless setup that they would target higher ignition timing than on an HFC setup. But without seeing their file I can't say for sure.

How much is the stage II upgrade from DINAN?

Hi Mike, thanks for the info. Stage II upgrade would likely cost me ~$250 (still confirming this). Can you PM the details and pricing on your cable and tune package and group buy? I saw you made a handful of cables!
