TPMS install. Where and how much should I expect to pay.

Ok guys here's the deal. I bought some 220m rims and tires that came from an 09 m3. I have a 2012 M3 so when I installed the new rims and tires the car naturally gave me a TPMS malfunction error.

I'm wondering where I should go to have the TPMS switched. Discount tires comes to mind but I don't know if their work is legit. But I know the dealership will charge me an arm and a leg.

Does anyone have any insight to what I should do or where I should go? Thanks in advance.

I would just call around the local places that have good reviews on yelp or the places that local forum members around you recommend asking for their prices. Then call the dealer as well and ask their price.

I believe around here independent shops charge about 20$ per wheel to install TPMS.

Thanks Phillip. 20 per is not bad at all. I'll call around in the morning.

I did this recently for my other bmw. At best shop in town paid $150 to have the sensors moved from old rims to new rims, and new rims road force balanced.

Does TPMS on a BMW give you an actual PSI reading? Or just Green/Yellow/Red?
