Smile Turbo S vs 2012 GTR

I saw this Fifth Gear video and thought the two cars were incredibly close. Close enough to blame the GTR's loss to a number of variables (eg driver).

What do you all think? Which of the two would you rather drive?

Some numbers:

_____________911 Turbo S:________________2012 GTR:

HP======= 530 hp @ 6250 rpm___________530 horsepower @ 6,400 rpm
Torque==== 516 lb-ft @ 2100 rpm__________448 lb-ft @ 5,200 rpm
Weight==== 3550 lb______________________3829 lb
0-60====== 2.9 sec______________________2.8 sec
1/4 Mile==== 10.9 sec @ 128 mph___________11.0 sec @ 124 mph
Base Price== $160,050_____________________$89,950

I know other numbers would be more telling, such as 80-130 mph times, but I couldn't find any. Feel free to add your own or correct mine. I'd take the Turbo S, despite being double the price.

I wish I was in a position to have a choice. Probably take the 911 because I am shallow.

Haha the 911 seems more classy, but the gtr is one hell of a bargain. Half the price, yet it matches the Turbo S in performance. 997GT3 says it best... It's too expensive.

Although I am a huge P car fan I have a special place in my heart for an American V-8 with a blower. Had a little go with a ZR1 and besides being freaky fast it sounded sooooo good.

I'd take the GT-R because it looks cooler. I saw a Turbo today on the streets and was wowed but the GT-R wows be more.

I'd rather drive the Turbo S. Too much attention in the GTR.

Either way, you won't regret the purchase. The GTR will save you a lot, and you are driving a modern icon. The Turbo S is even more iconic, and it looks 100x rarer and more impressive, but it isn't for the cost vs. the GTR.
