Question for all those window tint-ers
As many of you know, I have an AW M3 coupe. I am interested in tinting it. But I am worried about the dot pattern on the outline of the rear glass. Will it show out as white spots or can it be done properly? Will anything else be a problem?

The need to lightly use sand paper on the dot, so it won't show. A good shop will know how to do it.

That looks good but it still has a white line near the dot matrix, doesn't it?

If there's a Formula One around you, they do great work and have a lifetime guarantee on their tint.

You can barely notice the dot matrix on my car. They actually torched the outside part of my rear window so the tint would adhere faster and the result is fantastic.

They don't need to sand it or vinyl over it... like Xcellere posted, if they know what they are dong, they can heat the outside of the window during install to work the tint in to adhere in between the dot matrix. Sometimes a little follow-up may be required as luckistryke mentioned.

^+1. looks sweet OC
Seems like a lot of people recommend Formula one tint. The shop closest to home has the following pricing list on thier site. I think for the M3, the pinnacle line is the way to go p.s. you know you are in Ohio when the name of the place is truck paradise (after looking at thier gallery i would not be taking my car there any one in the Southwestern OH have any recommendations? ) Last edited by gadget; 04-14-2008 at 10:31 AM.. |
