Just got the latest info from the BMW hotline. How much longer until it reaches my dealership? Hopefully it can reach stateside by the launch date!

It needs to get on a ship, get to CA, be prepeared and then trucked to your dealer. 4-6 weeks.

My car is awaiting transport to NYC, been there for 3 days now. I am also in SoCal so I think my car will actually get here first as the route is faster. But then I have to wait for transport from the east coast.

bouncing back and forth from SA to BMWNA. I talked to BMWNA today and they told me. They are having delays on shipping. they were told that vehicles can stay at the docks upwards of 10 to 15 days before being loaded onto a ship and sent out. I'm at 9 days now for sure. They told me "it should be shipped out by this weekend" I am goign to call my SA today to find out if he can get exact information. A boat was loaded today "FALSTAFF" and shipped out apparently I missed that one too.....He told me "I should have my car by the 21st/22nd of March" If they send out my car by the 18th then I should have my car by the 16th,17th, or 18th or march. BMW has 3 companies that they use for shipping if we are going to be on one of the Wallenius ships then the next one to ship out from Bremerhaven to port hueneme will be on the 22nd on a ship called Tosca. If we Ship from any of the other two companies then we may be sent earlier.

No more searching for boats, I'm tired of it. I need a vacation!

Also found out that my offical production completion date was January 31st. Originally it was Jan 23rd. This makes me nervious...

I've been at the port since last Thursday (9 days). Perplexed by the long wait--since it appears two vessels have departed since. I'm in MN so I presume a NY or Baltimore dropoff. Anyone else in the same boat (no pun intended)?

This is day 10 since my car was completed. Not sure when it hit the Bremerhaven. My E46 took 10 days to ship in 2001.

I suspect that BMW simply doesn't see a priority here since it is silly to get them to the dealers much before March 8th. I've been at the dock for 8 days FWIW

Has anything for the North American launch been speedy or efficient?
