My new ride: 2013 Boss 302 Grabber Blue

Thought I would post a few pics of my newest ride. I traded my 09 335i vert a few weeks and got my old faithful mustang back again. This makes #16 for me. I know some of you won't get swapping a Bimmer for a Mustang but hey it's in my blood. This thing redlines at 7500 and makes peak power at 7k. Side exhaust absolutely screams. It dynos at over 400 at the wheels bone stock and pulls over 1 g on the skid pad. Torque is flat across the board, mat it and it just won't stop delivering power.

I daily drove the 335i and yes I miss it, after owning an M3, a 325ci, and a 330ci, the 335i was the best of them all. Probably overall the best car I have ever owned. But Mustangs have been near and dear to my heart since age 18.

I am a car guy and love anything sharp, just sharing with my fellow site members. If you don't care for it, that's totally cool I respect your right to your opinion but please no nasty/smart comments about Mustangs or American muscle.

I love it. That and orange are the best two colors. I do prefer the stock wheels though. The boss is one of the best cars on the market today.

By far the best color for that car. I drive by a 5.0 in that shade and drool all over it.

Not sure how the boss is, but when I test drove a 5.0 I felt like I was driving a whale through turns. The power output is a great feeling though, the car definitely hauls ass, and sounds great.

Nice buy!

Love the car and the color, not feeling the wheels, but with smoke pouring off of them, who cares?

If I left anything stock, I would keel over dead.

Thanks. It's about 300 pounds lighter than a standard GT with adjustable suspension front and rear along with cockpit adjustable steering feel. My 335 felt a noticeably more stiff handling-wise. This one feels light in comparison. Best handling mustang I have ever driven.

Still debating on keeping the rims, not a big black wheel fan regardless, which was the OEM wheel. I may sell the True Forged and go with a fully polished CCW. I need to get my springs installed, which should improve the overall look. The 4x4 look has to go.

congrats OP. I almost got one with the Laguna Seca option package last year. Really interesting car and I definitely understand why you made the switch.

I would trade my 335 in a split second for that car. But I have to have a 4 door until the little one is a little bigger. Then I will get a Mustang.

Weird but on the mustang forums True Forged and this particular style is one of most sought after wheels. Over here it appears the majority say nay lol.

I came from muscle cars. While they are very fast for the money. they lacked in other areas where i wanted.

but overall what bugs me the most is how common mustangs are. I also wanted something more classy and rare on the road. the m3 was perfect for me.

I've always had a thing for Mustangs but We don't get many down here, and the ones here cost a bomb.

I am seriously considering the new "world" model in a couple of years when the lease on my current car expires.

Only two things concern me though, only having two doors and I don't think I can go back to a boring old black interior.

Nice car mate!

Loved my M3 too. Just like the Boss, the average person could not tell the difference between it and any other 3 series though. I'll always be in a mustang, I'm just a lifelong fan. Car nuts know the M3 and the Boss when they see it though. Joe Blow never will

Thanks my friend. They do have red and tan interiors, but neither look good to me. The new mustang might be a big step backwards, something that isn't viewed as a true mustang, much like the mid 70's Mustang II. We won't know till we see it in person though, could be a big hit.

Absolutely love the color, not sure I like the wheels though. I think CCW and a drop would be perfect for this car.

If the spokes were matt black, I think it would contrast well. A bit bright.
Whatever you like is all that matters.

Grabber is a great color.
Njoy .

I have to say I love the new mustang, specifically the higher end ones. Very aggressive and beefy looking. I would consider buying one if it weren't for the antiquated interior.

My '11 135 is getting old and I might have to check this out though.

I actually like the wheels. Remind me of some HREs that I love. I think the gap needs to be closed to really accentuate those wheels.

Huh? Weight difference between a GT and a BOSS non-LS should be nearly negligible.

Great color though, that's a great car.

Some suggestions right off the bat to improve the experience with the much maligned MT-82:

1. MGW
2. SS braided clutch line and remove clutch pedal helper spring
3. 3/4" holes in the exhaust baffles on the side pipes

Sounds like you're already working on the suspension, should take care of the wheel gap nicely. What's your setup going to be in that regard?

Congrats! Beautiful car, but I agree with the others that the wheels aren't my favorite. Lovely colour also.

My only issue is that it looks like a high school car...

Best Mustang currently made and in best color too.

Sure it may not have the build quality of an M3, interior may feel cheap and it lacks the cache of a BMW but it is your money, so you get to spend it on whatever car you like. And I'm sure when you hit the gas pedal you get a huge smile on your face. There is just something about an American muscle car.

Enjoy and drive it like you stole her.

Forged internals along with aluminum block and heads make a big difference.
I may be off with 300 lbs but I have driven them both and the Boss is definitely lighter, built for track use. I agree on the MGW. Had those on the last 6 mustangs.

I have Ford Racing T springs in my garage right now.
