Ok so I get it... it's like model car building, but on a bigger scale. I can relate to that... but your comment on your last line... define 'really well' please? Really well against say a stock M3?

BMW Motorsport names its colors according to cities around the world that have famous race tracks or racing heritage.

Examples:

Imola Red - Imola, Italy
Estoril Blue - Estoril, Portugal
Silverstone - Silverstone, England
Dakar Yellow - Dakar, France
Daytona Purple - Daytona, FL, USA
Interlagos Blue - Interlagos, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Kyalami Orange - Kyalami, South Africa
Sepang Bronze - Sepang, Malaysia
Monaco Blue - Monaco, France
Laguna Seca Blue - Laguna Seca, California, USA
LeMans Blue - LeMans, France
Avus Blue - Avus, Berlin, Germany

There are a few which are not attached to any city such as:
Alpine White
Sapphire Metallic Black
Cosmos Black
Space Gray
Boston Green <- I dont know of any motorsport heritage in Boston
Artic Silver
Techno-Violet
Titanium Silver

I may be missing some.. feel free to contribute.
Thank you for that I had no idea every color is named after a specific city.

Wow. Perfection. Just curious, is the owner taking this car to the track or is it just a beautiful hard parker?

Oh wow I had no clue. Great info Thanks.

One small correction though: Dakar is not in France, it is in Senegal, a small west African country. Which used to be the destination of Paris-Dakar rallye.

OP your car is one of the most unique looking car on this forum. Everything you put on it is perfect and amazing. People that are hating on you are just jealous. Keep up the good work Felix.

It would destroy a stock M3 on the track. It would hold its own against a GT3, and a GT3 RS. Keith (posting under the tag 'Klammer') beats the sh!t out of GT3's with his e90 on the tracks, with "only" a modified suspension, BBK, and exhaust. Obviously in the end it comes down to the skill of the driver, but in any non-professional or amateur class this e90 will be amazing.
Driver makes all the difference. I pass supercharged m3's all the time at the track with similar mods as klammer. —former supercharged m3.

I can't even come up with words to describe this build. You're the man and I think what you and IND have done here is nothing short of breathtaking.

IND does it again, amazing as always!!! The title is perfect... This was definitely a difficult car to improve upon but the goal was definitely achieved.

Can't wait until I have a chance to work with you guys on another project!!

Absolutely superb job of planning and execution by all involved. Obviously meticulous attention to every detail by the owner, and great craftsmanship by the artisans.

But...you're in BIG trouble on the warranty when your lease ends. lol

Kudos to all. Enjoy the living dog out of it!

I love this was done to an E90. My favorite E9X on the planet for sure. However I thought there would be harnesses installed now that you have that roll bar (i.e. black Sabelt harnesses that already have yellow logos).

I find it comical and quite frankly typical that anyone voicing an opinion other than praise is being called out here.

If you don't fold into the flock nicely then you're ridiculed. What's the point of posting if you can't take constructive criticism?

Amazing marriage of aesthetic beauty and IND Tuned perfection. Love the color, personally, and everything is actually perfect about this car. Best M3 build I've seen yet.
