Where are you having the tint done at? Do mind telling us how much the tint and the clear bra cost? I saw your link to the Premier site, but I didn't see prices.

That'll be me.....look me up in a few years.

I'll probably get the windows tinted...and that's probably it.

Just out of curiosity, what does the ECU flash give you and does it void your warranty?

Assuming Dinan does a flash like they do for the M5 / M6. It would

Raise the rev limiter: Not for power but gives more margin for mis-shifting. If you hit the soft rev limiter, the power cut is substantial and can disturb a car's balance in mid-corner

Remove the Speed Limiter: Not that you can exercise the M3's top speed anywhere in North America but it is the THOUGHT that you could.

Improve throttle response: Tjrottle tip-in will be more aggressive. It will feel something like a stage between regular and with the power button on.

They charge $1000 for the M5 / M6 flash and it is worth every penny. (unlike the Dinan 335i flash for $2000 and the hideous $2000 Dinan Oil Cooler).

And it will not void your warranty.

1. V1 hardwire install
2. Airbag sticker removal

Both done. Cheap and easy. V1 immediately makes you less prone to tickets, sticker removal immediately improves the appearance of the interior.

I'd say exhaust. The stock note is under-pronounced below 4000 rpms. I wouldn't want anything too loud though.

Also, although I've been thinking about aftermarket wheels, seeing the stock 19" wheels changed mind on that. They look great.

I said the same thing (to myself, nobody else was listening) when I got my M5. Somewhere around 10K miles, however, it got its vocal cords and I was happy enough that I never bothered. I'm going to wait it out with the M3 and see what develops with both the stock system and the aftermarket scene.

You mean that the sound actually changed, or that you grew to like it?

Interesting. I wonder what caused the changed. Engine parts must wear out slightly during break-in, but can that change the exhaust note significantly? Carbon deposits in the exhaust itself? You must have considered this, but are you sure nothing came loose and unintentionally became a "resonator"?
