e90 M3 Seat Desk Chair Build!

Hey Guys,

I may not be in exactly the right sub-forum, but I've been building this for about a month (finally got around to putting it together yesterday and have it at my desk). I made it from an e90 M3 seat that I bought as a pair and pulled out the rails/ motors/ wiring and mounted it to the base of an office chair.

Let me know what you guys think. Yes, it is surprisingly comfortable!

-Tyler

The electronics of this seat were all shot. Next one I'll try to hook up the power adjustments. The motors do add quite a bit of weight though

Hey, no problem. Took a pic and labeled where the U-bolts are, etc. Basically I took off the electric motors and rails, U-bolted a pair of steel square bars to the horizontal cross-pieces on the chair, and bolted the top of the cylinder assembly to that.
