I upgraded to the 2 day and I'm sitting at the airport waiting for my flight to Spartanburg at this very moment. Too bad it's going to be raining like hell the two days I'll be driving

I'll be at the April 13th ///M school. Are any M3Poster's going to be there with me?

Quick question for those that just returned from the 1-day school....

....Were you able to keep your helmet, or were you given any ///M paraphernalia while you were there?

No helmet for 1 day. You can buy one in the gift shop. They do give you a bag full of some goodies, like a t-shirt..etc, but the best part is that they send you a DVD of you driving the cars from multiple angles(inside/outside of the car) that includes your rpm/speed superimposed on the video!

Any pictures of the helmet that the 2-day students receive?

if it rains is great, it willbe more difficult. you can upgrade to 2 day from what they said

Yes.

I called and was able to do the upgrade received full credit for the one day school price and also received the BMWCCA 20% discount off the remaining cost.

I would try calling again and see if you get someone else, I just asked the lady who answered said sure, she did have to check on the discount.

I really recommend doing both days. Ton's of track time plus a cool M striped helmet to take home to use at your local track days.

It looked like it would rain when I was there in January. The instructors gave very special instuctions in case it started to rain when we were on the track.

They said "just turn on the wipers"

and keep on it

2 Day they gave us a bunch of stuff. Off the top of my head we received the following

M School Helmet
M School Jacket
M School Polo Shirt
M School Duffel
Driving school Baseball Cap
another t-shirt
Plus some marketing info etc.

I may be missing something...

I'm doing the the 13th also. Driving over from Atlanta with my son. I will not be there in time for the dinner on Sunday.

you are saying you get the M school jacket and shirts with the free 1 day school?? I didn't realize you got so many freebies in the 1 day, I thought all that stuff was reserved for the 2 day M school.

If the one day goes well I'm going to sign up for the two day while they are offering the 20% discount. That would be great to get the helmet and other stuff on top of the schooling.

For the 2 day M School Approx 5 weeks after the class I received the DVD. It is a recording via the Racekeeper system that is in the car. You get a USB Dongle on the second day to plug into the various cars you drive.

Thsi USB device tells the system which driver is in the car so later when they download the hard drives they can assemble to footage and put it on the DVD. It's cool, has course map, car position on the map, in car and outside view along with Tach and speedo. My kids thought it was great, I think I moved up a notch on the coolness factor with them.

Call 'em.

My experiences have been that there are no absolute rules (except for some insurance limitations). The Greer group has policies that they follow. But I've always been shown a lot of flexibility and generosity.

While there will be a charge for the "class" part of the school (the helmet in and of itself is expensive), the School may not require additional money for the Marriot. And the Marriot won't knick you.

One thing for certain - by 4:00 p.m. on the second day, you and guest will be thinking how sorry you both would have been if you HADN'T upgraded. Do it!!
