It's the competition package which includes different wheels and the car is slightly lower. It also has slightly tweaked settings for dsc and edc. For $2500 not sure it's worth it but the wheels are nice.

Worth it if you want the wheels. Otherwise... it adds a very very slightly revised DSC (to compensate for the new 10mm shorter springs). That's it. On the E46 it was a must-have. Not so much on this. Definitely save your $ if you were planning to buy some nicer wheels.

ZCP is the best dollar option for what you get

- Wheels
- Lowered ride height (~.4 inches)
- 3 diffferent damper setting comfort, normal, sport
(4 with I-drive, get sport + as well)

Don't think you get an extra suspension setting with zcp, and you get comfort/normal/sport on a regular car. :

There are not 4 damper settings in I-Drive for ZCP. It is the same as a Non-zcp car.

The difference in ZCP cars mainly is the wheels and the fact that the Sport setting in EDC is now active in comparison to non EDC cars where the Normal setting is active dampening.

The MDM is also revamped and allows more slip, however this goes out the door with aftermarket wheel and tire setups, especially if you go square. In this case, the MDM does not do it's job as well as it was intended to and it might be best to turn DSC off. (personal preference when tracking, as MDM affects the line you can really take)

M-Drive allows you to have a Sport+ setting for throttle sensitivity. This is not any different between ZCP and non ZCP cars.

For a 2009 car, you need to have ZTP (Technology Package) to have M-Drive which gives the user the Sport+ option.

Either way, based on many track guys' (including mine) experiences, Sport and Sport+ offer too much throttle sensitivity, almost to the point that it becomes difficult to make throttle modulation smooth.

Very simple:

ZCP is the real man M3
Non-ZCP = civic M3

On a more serious note, I guess it depends where you live.

For the 2012MY here in Canada it is a good deal. For $2900 you get
-Wider 19" ZCP wheels
-Lowered suspension
-EDC
-Dynamic sport mode on EDC
-More permisive MDM

From what I gather, You can't even get EDC withou ZCP in Canada for 2012MY.

For the 2011MY it was much more expensive as you had to purchase EDC seperately for a total cost of $5900 ($3900 ZCP + $2000 EDC). Definitely not worth it at that price IMO.

Whoaa..In US..my 2011...the ZCP + EDC come together..$2500 option. I guess I didnt factor in other markets.

I agree at your prices def not worth it.

With ZCP can you get either the silver wheels or the black ones (from the M3 GTS)?

Well keep in mind that that ZCP wasn't even an option on the E9X until MY 2011. In 09 it wasn't even available.
