About to pickup a Bavarian Technic professional - any deals to be had?

Hey all,

Finally going to grab one of these and going to go with the pro version. I have 3 BMWs to work on currently, and potentially more one day so don't want to be limited to 3 VINs. I'd also like to be able to help with other cars in the area etc if needed.

Question - I see zero deals on this stuff out there. Does anyone know of any discounts?

Thanks!

If you do business with some of the vendors on here..they may be able to cut you a deal..I got some decent quotes about 2 yrs ago..but that was for the enthusiast version not the professional.

if you're going to pick up a Bavarian Technic professional, let him buy you a drink first, so you won't be seen as "easy"

Can I get a bong hit instead? : O

I've been holding out for more options, but this seems the best for logging. I can probably do the service intervals etc with some leaked tools, but the upkeep is annoying and I use them so infrequently that I'm somewhat scared of screwing something up.

Also curious to see how easy/useful their coding functions are vs. the leaked BMW tools.

From what I can tell, their coding falls way short of any dealer tool or autologic.

Interesting. Using NCS Expert myself : ) Works well, but can be confusing to use when you aren't in-it all the time. Potential to screw things up fairly badly if you make a mistake also.

Yeah NCS Expert is the only thing that will really do the coding. The BT tool won't come anywhere close.

Hmmmm. Sad face.

I was waiting for the Evolve data logging, but that is not out yet either.

Perhaps I should just look into other factory tools for the service related stuff. M3 is out of warranty in October of this year.

I just want to have this problem solved without it becoming a huge project; but perhaps that is inevitable.

Just depends on what you want to spend.

I don't mind the cost if it is a pretty complete tool. Would be nice to just take 1 program/laptop with me on road trips. ; )

Well, the bad part is if you have an E46 with an MS45 DME..this tool will not read any sensors. Boo.
